Well, I have basically narrowed it down to either the esp f 50 or the ax 50...

I am liking the F 50 more right now (In black) but the AX looks awesome, I am a bit esceptical about how comfortable it is though...

Is your election but I prefer the second.

Well, the ax's brigde is very to your right, which some people perfer. Me myself, I play a jackson dinky which isn't that far from the fm... If you play like powermetal(and stuff alike) FM, otherwize I would play lite ... nu metal Ax

I actually have an Ibanez right now, but I prefer an Esp, the Ibanez seem too plain, unless i am wiling to spend 1500 dollars for one

I like the look of the 2nd one, so i'd buy that. But i don't play guitar.

Put up a poll mate I'd say the F-50 (though if I had to take one, I'd go for F-250 black, and even more F-400 see-through-black ) but this is for you to decide

well, i would but my dad is not too happy i am buying a new guitar at all so there is a budget, plus I only have 200 dollars at the moment so he is going to have to pay a small difference...

Based solely on looks, I say F-50.

Honestly, I'm not wild about either. The local music store has a surplus of the F-50. I am bit of a traditionalist though so I am biased.

Mine is also blue. A great guitar. Run this thing through a Marshall or a Mesa Stilleto. You'll have a blast.

hmm crazy designs not always sounds as good as a wellknown guitar.. I'l have to agree with Jester

I know, that is why I am going for an ESP (which Timo, Kirk Hammet, Dave Mustain... and many others use) plus it gets excellent reviews from the site and other guitar sources

I'm not a big fan of these designs because I feel that the shape of the F-50 could confine you, and restrict you into a specific type of music. Also, I'm not big on ESP, but they do make a nice guitar. I haven't really enjoyed any of the necks on the ESP's I've tried. Timo Tolkki, and George Lynch are the two best ESP players I know of. If you like ESP, try and get one that is set up more like theirs. However, if you really must have a guitar that has a bit of an edge to it, body wise. Something that stands out. I also have one of these. (I have a coupe of guitars) They are all my children. This is the Peavy V-Type. An awesome guitar right out of the box. And if price is an issue, this one might be a better option than the one I presented earlier.

That is a very nice guitar indeed, problem is that it costs about twice as much as the ones I am considering...

The problem of buying a guitar is the cost, sometimes are expensive.
