Stratovarius Cover recording - for all musicians who can rec

Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

I'm wondering what the guys in Stratovarius will think/say about this when it's done, if they ever hear it... Would have been interesting to find out 8)
Wish I could have contributed with something, buuuut I think I'll leave it to the ones who knows how to do it  I'll just sit on the sideline and make stupid comments :D
Can't wait to hear the vocals!

I used to play piano and keyboard as a child, but that is quite a long time ago ;)
And *cough* I am a "hobby-sing-alonger-to-all-kind-of-songs" - and yeah *cough* it doesn't always sound good
Good for me that my son isn't old enough to complain about my singing yet :D

Well...we still miss the 2 keysolos and backing vocals you could do one of this if you still want!

btw you can record vocals anyway, i'll mix it up and then we will have 2 versions. Nothing easier =)

Really nice! I didn't expect this to turn out so great, haha, good job so far guys! :headbang:

There's also the ending key solo which is missing, or are you gonna skip it?

With what did you record the keyboards at the beginning?
It sounds so great! Exactly the same as Jens one!!! I need this. :P

Vocals sound a bit forced in my opinion.

Well I'm still trying. I do everything in the same way as I recorded other songs.

I record the parts into my synt. Then I connect the synth to my PC. And then I use Cubase to record the stuff in my PC. But now Cubase doesn't record anything. It doesn't connect with my Synth.

I'll give it one more week, if no one else wants to do background vocals, I can do them.

I think it will be cool if you do them! Only try to sing it less forced than the lead voals. They were very cool but a bit forced! :)

I think the finished version is being mixed right now, but thats not to say that there can't be a version with keys missing, guitars missing, vocals missing ect. We can have multiple versions to allow various takes from the many forumites here.

I'm anxious to hear the mixed version! :P
