Stratovarius Cover recording - for all musicians who can rec

Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

Is anyone mixing this thing? I would really like to hear it finished! I know Plisken said too he could mix it. I am getting antsy for a final mix!! I'm sure the crowd online here is too!

If all else fails, I could record the solos too. . . but I'm sure the person who recorded them would like to hear their part in the recording.

maybe you notice that it still needs Compresion and EQ i guess, there is a Screenshot that shows how to put together the 2 files, the "2:07:876" is where starts the track.

Hopefully not major problems! If you need anything in addition let me know. I think I might have the drums sequenced out in midi somewhere. . .

for the vocals what mic did you use :S? also what kind of environment where you in?

If you can send me the drums in MIDI sequence that would be great! I dont know what VST was used for the one I have right now but I have a much better VST. Also this way I can do the bass separately so you will actually be able to hear it! I wish we could get a bassist on the forum to do the bass for the song >.>

I used my oktava mk 319 through my pod x3 live in my room, ran direct via USB into my recording interface on my computer. I used one of the mic presets on the pod. My room has pretty good acoustics for recording vocals due to the bed and carpeting. (not as good as an isolated room found at a recording studio, but passable)

As for the midi I will search for it and send it!
I also wish the original people involved would continue their support for the song. CLaudio just dissapeared...

well here it is!

This is pretty much the best that can be done with mp3s of the tracks that were sent to me. I dont know what VST was used for the drums but they were horrible. Tired to make it sound better. Also I dont know who did the bass and why it was recorded with the drums but its barley audible. As for the vocals you have an awesome voice warrencurrymetal! you just need someone there guiding you when you are recording vocals. All in all I think it came out pretty good though :D

so what do you guys think?

These are the credits as far as I know

plisken - all keyboards
warrencurrymetal - Vocals and Rhythm guitar
Malteada - Guitar Solo's
cl4udiolari - Drums and Bass (?)

Like I said in the other thread, solid instrumental but I don't like the voice.

And I'd like to hear eather Rebel or Tomorrow.

I'd vote for We Hold The Key. Or maybe an instrumental song, Holy Light?
