Discuss.

(Not just-emotive songs or a-little-emotive songs, but super-ultra-emotive songs).

Timo Tolkki - Father
AFI - God Called In Sick Today

I've never cried with a song, I'm too trve to do that, but those two songs caressed my heart maaany times.

That's exactly what I asked for. I hope everyone wrote only songs that are "Very very very VERY emotive" for them.

*I hate this band, but the first time I heard this music I was in a bad time, and its melodies and lyrics really worked with me. Beautiful song.

Well I think that Strato have many beautiful & emotive songs, like Forever, Venus in the morning, Coming Home, Before the winter, Dream with me ... etc........

From another fave bands:

Iron Maiden : Journeyman, this song really made me cry when I heard for the first time & principally when I heard the band played live!

Bruce Dickinson : Arc of Space, Acustic song, Gates of Urizen, Man of sorrows, Darkness be my friend etc...

Queen : Who wants to live forever, Is this the World we created ?, etc...

Scorpions : Always somewhere, Lady Starlight, Send me an Angel etc...

Gotta agree with all three Savatage songs posted, especially "Crowds"....although all of you forgot "This Isn't What We Meant"...

IS THIS THE ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS, IS THIS WHAT GOD HAS SENT? ? ? ?

Christ, it's hard to believe that people cry to Good Charlotte when there's stuff like Savatage on the market. The kind of stuff that makes you want to put your fist through the wall in frustration(or sword, in my case--much more effective, drywall flys everywhere).

Even songs like Queensryche's "Surgical Strike" are emotive because you know that people really ARE manipulating other people like that....not everyone can identify (i definitely can't), but you certainly can whale on the heavy bag a few times after thinking about stuff like that....killing, corruption, war....

Now you guys have gotten me all pissed off with this topic!!!!!! :D

I actually cried the first time i heard Will The Sun Rise. Every single word of that song reflected exactly how i felt about my existence so perfectly. But i never would have been able to put it in words like that. It was like staring at myself from a point of view i would have never been able to see myself from otherwise.
