Hi!

Angra kick ass!
It's one of my faves bands!
I've discovered their music in 1994, and i'm keeping on to listen to them :)
I've seen them live 3 times: 1997 (Holy Land Tour with the original line-up), in 2002 with the new, and the last show was recently: the 13rd of february 2005 in Toulouse (France). :)

I know angra, they play pretty well, but there is something that i don't like about them, and it is that in almost every song they use "Spanglish", that for me isn't cool at all, if they want to sing, do songs in english or spanish, not a mix of the two, the songs sounds pretty weird that way....

BTW the best angra songs for me are: Carry on(the best one!), Acid Rain and Nova era.
Stratovarius, The best power-melodic-symphonic metal band ever.
The legend of Zelda, The Best Game Ever.
Devil May Cry 3 Best Action Game Ever.
"I love this!, this is for what i live for!, I am absolutely crazy about it!!!"- Dante.

Right!
But actually it's not simple to choose few songs..
I love Carolina IV, Carry On, Nova Era, Temple Of hate, Lisbon...

Spanglish is not so bad for me. :)

bon,,

je veux vous expliquer une chose...

Angra ne fait pas des chansons en espagnol, ils chantent en portugais..

Il y a une chanson nouvelle, du album TEMPLE.. et d'autres qui sont faites

aux deux langues...

anglais et portugais..

Angra doesn't make songs in spanish, they are from Brazil, hence, they speak and sing portuguese..

in some songs they have put a little of their mother language..

but it's ok

Funny, I heard Angra for the first time today. The only thing I can say right now is that they have a tastefull guitarist.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.

I had understood your point, but it's not easy to find a word near the spanglish for portuguese+english.
Nevertheless i think they're good reason to sing in the two languages.
There are so much others bands who sing in english and into the mother's tongue. :)

I own their latest album Temple Of Shadows, but in my opinion it has only one really good song, Spread Your Fire.

Stop parling franglish s'il vous please!!

IMO Angra is a great band which has reach his highest musical quality with the album Holy Land but all of their albums are good.
Shaman is also great (have you seen RituaLive DVD?? Few bands can make such a show with only one cd!!!!!!!!)

I agree, Holy Land just blows away everything they did after Matos and co. left.

I'm kinda tired of listen to Angra...
I prefer Angra now, I don't like the old line-up because Andre Matos' voice sounds really annoying in my ears.
You know, here in brazil every international concert they're there as special guests  ... if it's not Angra it's Shaman...
Since they're not my fave bands I can't stand to see them live anymore.

There're another brazilian bands that kick some serious ass  as Sepultura and Krisium.

Well, from what I read about them, it's a christian band and their lyrics have some messages related to their religion... since I never heard them I can't say exactly what's the context of songs.
I found their official site, take a look

Angra is a pretty good band, and all of the bandmembers are very great. I have the Limited Edition of Tempel of Shadows and I loved that allbum.

I've already seen Angra twice, first in 2002 and second 2004, they are a cool band, and they have two great guitarrists. But i prefer the old formation with Andre Matos, Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori.
