I have the Elements Part 2 "bonus pack" I think, with the demo disc of Tolkki singing Vapaus and Alpha & Omega. Or is this a standard buy?
Anyway, I'm interested to know. Does Tolkki do vocals on any other songs? He has a good voice. I think he should sing more.

Oh, I just realised something. Vapaus is just a demo version of Liberty in... Finnish? Such an idiot I am.

I have the original, mate. And I think it's the best album.Beast_Pete wrote:(1487+13)

Well, I think it's original. Either way, it's a store-bought copy.

Yeap, he does lead vocals plus guitars on the first three albums, Fright Night, Twilight Time and Dreamspace. He also does the lead vocals on a Stratovarius cover of Rainbow, Kill the King.l33t Pimpin wrote:I have the Elements Part 2 "bonus pack" I think, with the demo disc of Tolkki singing Vapaus and Alpha & Omega. I think he has a good voice. He should sing with Kotipelto more.

Re: Timo Tolkki
I think TT should sing more often, too. He has a magnificient voice, and the albums where he did lead vocals are very good&still sell well. Dreamspace is one of my fav StratoAlbums!

That's right, but because you're new here, we forgive you this glaring mistake Next time try to listen carefully before writting opinion, and posting tew topic. Somewhere is the topic with translation 'Vapus', but I don't recomend itBeast_Pete wrote:(1493+13)

Re: Timo Tolkki
Me and my friends use Vapaus as a drinking song.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.

Re: Timo Tolkki
It makes me wonder how someone can mistake Tolkki with Kotipelto. They really dont sound at all alike.
Re: Timo Tolkki
Agreed, Timo definatly knows how to sing. His lead vocals as well as his backing harmonies are brilliant on Dreamspace, especially Wings Of Tomorrow.
He may not be the most technical singer ever, but his effort and final presentation are admirable.

Re: Timo Tolkki
I didn't know what Tolkki's voice sounded like until I downloaded Fright Night. It always occured to me how similar Tolkki and Kotipelto sounded but it never occured to me to read the slip of paper more carefully.Latuman wrote:It makes me wonder how someone can mistake Tolkki with Kotipelto. Okay, this may sound stupid but on the little piece of paper inside the CD case it says: "Music and lyrics: Tolkki". I just had a look now and thought about it, and I see where I went wrong now, it doesn't say "sung by Tolkki".
My bad guys.
Please get all teasing and jeering out of the way now.
Electric Eye: Don't go too easy on me. I'm new to this forum but not new to Stratovarius. I should have known better.
I will take all punishment as it comes.
