Some of you have heard rumours that Jari Kainulainen has left Stratovarius. Unfortunately I have to tell you that they are true.
This is due to personal reasons. We will release official statement regarding that soon.

Whatever happened, lets all wish Jari good luck. He and his wife seem to be really good people!
He has talent and will do well!

I'm sure that next basist is Lauri Porra.

Was? The fact that he left the band doesn't take away his bass playing skills. ;) :D

Anyway, it's always a bit sad when a long-time member decides to leave a band. Oh well... such is life.

Lauri is fucking great player, but I think that he is bit too young for Stratovarius. I know that lot if you disagree.
But, if Lauri is going be next player for Strato, I will be really happy for that.

Heh, you´re right. Everybody is waiting Lauri Porra to be a replacement, but then comes Miss-B and... at least everybody starts laughing.

Well, I suppose Jari won´t continue playing in the future. I´m pretty sure he concentrates on family-living now. Anyway, it´s sad for the band of course.

I heard rumors about it earlier today but the forums weren't working.
And I come here and its true :(

I'll let the story pan out before I start assuming anything. False news does travel fast. Jari, best wishes to you! I hope all of your plans go in your favor! And to the guy above me, fuck you. This is no lauging matter! Jari has been with the band for a long time now and of course people care about bass; I particularly liked his bass playing. So my first question is does this effect the upcoming World Tour?

is jari taking a break or is he leaving the band permanently, he really kicks ass with the bass in songs like kiss of judas, stratofortress and distant skies.... :( :(

About Jari

Post by fernando_levy » Tue Jun 21, 2005 9:42 pm

What can I say, this has come as a shock to me as well. I just hope it won't negatively affect the 2005 World Tour. Stratovarius needs to continue, with or without Jari. I wish him the best of luck.

Rock on Jari!!

And yes, He is a great player!

I like songs such as Eternity, Dreamweaver and others mainly because the bass! oh, yeah, 030366 rocks too...

The main point is how well the new bassist will fit the band or do they get only a session bassist for the tour, if the tour even starts.

I heard the rumours, but I was expecting something official. But why doesn't it surprise me?

Do you remember something I wrote in the thread which talked about new photos?

This is sad. But I wish the best to Strato to find a replacement that they can feel as close to as someone they have toured with for years, and to Jari also... wonder what he will do next?
