There are not so many female metal singers in this world. And I'm sure that many of your favourite (metal)singers are males (don't get this wrong...)
Who's your favourite female metal singer?
My favourite one is definitely Jessi Frey.
(Edit: I'm not really big fan of orchestra-style singers Sorry, Tarja... )

If you want a better place to live in, spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave
Or you children of today are children of the grave

Re: Your favourite female metal singer?
Christina Scabbia of Lacuna coil has my vote. But others are Kristin Lamb of Earthcubed, Kim Goss of Sinergy, and Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation.

Sonia Pineault of Forgotten Tales (doesn't sing in opera style for a change).

Tarja is a whining bitch with ugly dresses.
My favorite is Marta Kroczak-Gabriel from Crystal Viper, she has a really good heavy metal voice.

Re: Your favourite female metal singer?
Agreed. She's not the prettiest singer. Don't mind her voice.mango wrote:with ugly dresses.
I prefer Angela Gossow though...Arch Enemy rule the female bands Oh and the singer of Krusader..can't remember her name.

Re: Your favourite female metal singer?
I wonder that nobody has mentioned Amy Lee from Evanescence (did I spell it right?) yet. They are metal, right? At least some sort of. She has a good voice, and she's not bad looking either.
Re: Your favourite female metal singer?
I second that. People who thinks she is pretty should definitely think about wearing glasses !htcdude wrote:Agreed. She's not the prettiest singer. Don't mind her voice.
And as a singer, she is okay, but not great. There is no energy in her singing, especially in the songs from Once.
Take Floor Jansen for example. In my opinion she can sing much better than Tarja, and her singing has lot of energy and power.
@Boy-85 : you're right about Amy Lee (except on the fact that she isn't bad looking : you should see her with no make-up, for ex in the bonus from their DVD). She is a really good singer, with energy, especially on stage cause she moves all the time.
I really don't understand people's attitude sometimes : they say bad things about Evanescence, that it's not metal. Just some commercial stuffs. Then, the same people say that the last Nightwish or last Within Temptation are great. Mmm. even Gwen Stefani sounds more metal than Within Temptation. Okay I exagerate, but I'm not too far from the truth...
This is wrong
Re: Your favourite female metal singer?
Hum well i lost my "love" for her since i saw her life...Boy-85 wrote:I wonder that nobody has mentioned Amy Lee from Evanescence (did I spell it right?) yet. They are metal, right? At least some sort of. She has a good voice, and she's not bad looking either.
And when i listened to her again her voice seemed to be non existing against Tarja... I was so used to NW i was really shocked she sounded so powerless.
I wont vote for any woman as i dont like female voices too much Tarja is ok i think, but i wouldnt vote as i dont have tried to make much experience with female singers
(I agree at Tarjas ugly dresses.. But nothing against her voice pls)

I guess I should make an appointment with an optometrist, then.
Well, the eyesight is first to go!
I think she is very pretty. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Definitely.
