Yes, it might sound like that to you, but in Finland it's definitely a boy's name. Just like Janne might sound girlish, but it is one of the most popular boys' name in Finland.

That's cos it's almost identical to Jane, an English girl's name. Joona only sounds like Jonah to me though, nothing girly about it at all :D
