This topic is about mispronounciations or just plain mess ups that your friends or family have had when talking about Stratovarius. What kind of weird names have they come up with?

My brother used to call them Stratusvarius.. I think because of the car called the Dodge Stratus.

But most recently my fiance called them Stratovatarius hehe. I put on the song Father Time and asked her to guess what band it was. The only strato song she has heard is The Abyss of Your Eyes and she still guessed correctly. She just didn't say it right. =P

But its not so had to recognize Strato since Kotipelto has such a distinct voice.

Well, I lot of people I know sometimes have called them "Strato-ovarius", what is not funny to me , because they didn't say that for mistake, they did it just to anoying me. And they did it! :x

Well, but I can't be angry for that, I know...I just laugh now :D

One thing I get a LOT is when people see the patch on my jacket they ask me if I play violin, or if it's in reference to the violin maker. Which is utterly ridiculous, on a lot of levels. Like, did you honestly think that the guy who made the violins was named Stratovarius??

Also, my boss always fucks up the name, badly. The most recent one I can remember was when she called them Strasovodius.

I've heard lots of ppl pronouncing the name as in Latin. The pronounce the u "ou", in english it would give something like "Stratovarioos" :D
