would be a nice experiment, but I don't think the typical strato-sounds fits to tarja's voice. Nightwish and Strato plays different kinds of metal.

I even dunno who it had sounded with Miss K. :?:

In my opinion it would be interesting but I'm afraid that it wouldn't work. I suppose that Tarja takes a break about all kind of music stuff before her Christmas tour...

I (and a lot of other people too) thought of this before too. Not a bad idea, but I think, that Stratovarius simply won't ask her to join them. Dunno... but ssome songs together would be cool.

Strato fans will never accept a female singer.

Besides, we have Kotipelto, so who cares.......

Nope, I for example could accept a female singer, but only if Koti stays. Without a male singe,r Stratovarius is not Stratovarius... and without Koti... well I could not imagine a more fitting singer than him.

I meant as like a backup vocalist or something, not to replace Kotipelto but join.

I do hope Stratovarius will never get into this annoying "fashion trend" of duets between female/male voices... there are enough boring bands around doing that.

Right, there are many bands riding on that trend that sound quite boring... but Kamelot for example sound very cool with it, as well on their albums as on their shows. Perhaps because they don't overuse it. I saw them twice this year as they were on tour with Epica (one of these bands by the way... :tired: ) and the duets with their singer perfectly fitted.

Could very well imagine Tarja as a guest on Stratovarius shows...

We have been though this Stratovarius with female Singer enough--do we have to discuss it again? Koti and Tolkki are the voices of Stratovarius&I don't think most fans would accept it any other way!
But, I think it would be fine--very good, in fact-- if Tarja might guest on any Solo album or Side projects of Stratovarius members. Such as Sharon den Adel on Hymn to Life--her song was one of the best of the album. So, maybe that's an idea! :)

Or Tarja could only sing some backing vocals or sing only few lines as a guest appearance on only one song. Nothing more.

i'd really like to hear tarja's voice on one of the songs.. they could invite other great power metal vocalists like tony kakko and so on..

do you have the new Destruction album? on that cd there's a track with 10 guest vocalists  like doro pesch, paul di'anno and many other famous metal singers.. i think it's called "alliance of hellhoundz" or something like that

naa, I don't like that idea... the only thing she should be alowed to do is to sing some background-stuff. No lead vocals.

they could also invite Miss Kaatrina, for duets with Tarja, in bikini...

It would be awesome...

And for par-condicio they could also invite Boy George and Prince "love symbol".

It would fuckin awesome!

Btw the idea of some female voice to backing vocals is interesting, really.

Maybe Tolkki will call her to join the Warriors of Light. Tarja wouldn't have to tour with that project, and it's a great money that she can get for it. :)

Well, if what's said in Tuomas' open letter is indeed true...

I don't want to see her anywhere near Stratovarius. :)

I wouldn't like to see her in any strato-song, she's one of the most overrated female vocalists in the metal world. A normal feamle singer would be able to take all those tones in their normal singing-voice. She has to go falsetto (opera) to sing those tones. And live, yuck. I've never seen a headlining artist sing that false(the rest of the band was good, but she...no way). No, she should stay at home polishing and worshipping the money she got from Nightwish

In Nightwish it wasn't her voice or looks that did it, it was Tuomas's songs that made Nightwish so big. Let's just hope they can find someone that can sing properly.

I share only the half of your message. She can sing very good. Ok, in studios she's better, but live, she doesn't sing so bad as you describe!

Well, the sound will be the same of Nightwish because of Tuomas - that calms me down!

A week ago I would have said "YES!" with all my might. But in all honesty, with everything that has happened with Nightwish, and the way that she treats the fans, I have to say "screw Tarja and I could care less what she does". She's a stuck-up snob who thinks that she's above the people that pay good hard-earned money to hear her voice. I'm sorry, but after seeing Strato several weeks ago...I can say that they are a class act that doesn't need to lower themselves by being associated with such a b*tchy diva. Strato is great enough with just the five of them, and I'm sure we've all heard the saying about too many cooks in the kitchen. :D

I think her husband might like that. He seems to be the one pushing her to get more money, higher cuts, greater range of merch and so on... she never used to be like this.

I hope she wakes up before it's too late to save her career.
