Which dance/disco song?
I have quite an unusual question. I have a CD (self-made compilation) that has a disco- song in it, which begins with the lyrics 'This is my dream' and after that: 'can't you see the love is all around me'. At about 1.40 comes this part: 'in this dream with just you and me, so tell me do you wanna spend your life with me'. I can't find any info about this song anywhere. My sister suggested Faithless, but I couldn't find this from their site. Any info would be appreciated! I have really been getting into this kind of music lately.

Öhh, well Google found this:

P.S: I know, that it doesn't start the same, but maybe it's a different version.

This is a funny forum, I would probably get lots of people laughing if I said: much of old disco stuff, the best of the chart pop that remained to stay alive, is actually really good music. One band I'm eternally hooked with, Pet Shop Boys is an example of being both posh, sellout and actually good music. I wonder if the metal society can appreciate it very much though

MJ lost it by trying to do new stuff when he wasn't able anymore. I so love his old experimental work that used to show the way for others, but he should've retired years ago. Today he's just copying others (or his producers are copying other great producers). Anyway, he should've retired before he turned into this scary thing he is now. The 9 footer ghoul in Ghosts wasn't half as scary he is today without make-up.

MJ is indeed one of the best singers on Earth (but Freddie Mercury owns everyone ).
If I may go on with the off-topic: I like Modern Talking so much... they are so... hmm, maybe cheesy. But in another way than Rhapsody. The chorus is so funny, on karaoke they are one of the funniest bands to choose.

Gamma Ray does appreciate it (and I like that version as well).Jaakko wrote:This is a funny forum, I would probably get lots of people laughing if I said: much of old disco stuff, the best of the chart pop that remained to stay alive, is actually really good music. Re: Which dance/disco song?
I dig the Pet Shop Boys. A lot of the pop music from that era was musically sound. Duran Duran, Thomas Dolby, Depeche Mode, The Cars, Billy Idol, and of course the stuff that Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, and Sting put out during that time was all great. You don't see that nearly as much today. The quality of pop music has gone downhill to say the least.
Freddie Mercury. He was taken from us way too early! Freddie was an amazing talent, and Queen was an amazing band.

Off-topic: Some of you talked with this pop music etc. So: Is there something wrong with me if I like some of 80's disco/pop etc. bands, one australian female pop singer and one swedish europop band?

So you children of the world, listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in, spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave
Or you children of today are children of the grave

Sometimes I need a little bit pop, often Abba or any other songs of this genre but when I hear it, it is late in the night and soon I'll go to bed then...
