The 2-CD set supposed to be out next month acording to TT, as he stated in his forum.

Are you going to get it? And I wonder what songs are going to be on it?

Hopefully, we will hear more about this CD as time goes by. :)

I think, I'll buy it in Wacken. There everything is cheaper.

I'l just listen to beg's copy.

in a way, compilations are a waste. I mean, if you buy the albums all the songs are on them. But, I guess compilations do not have the excess songs that are not so great.

Looks pretty interesting, i wouldn't have expected "Stratovarius" and "Shattered" there. But just two Elements songs..? :?

Remember Dave that from Infinite till Elements 2 they were signed by nuclear Blast, and this compilation is released by Sanctuary. They must need to get licences for the songs from those albums!

I'll buy it. this seems perfect to me, as i own all the albums after Episode but not before...
no, the real thing is i'm going to buy all their albums anyway. but it's still good to get this compilation first, before i collect more money for the rest.

hopefully we will know the release date soon...as i might buy some other CDs together with it, to save some shipping fee. :P

True, but remember also that it is a product for a fan and a fan doesn't care about such licence things, he wants to hear a BEST OF and not a best of sanctuary-era.

Sounds very interesting this compliation. I will buy it anyway and the japan edition too :D

But how much the record companies like Sanctuary in this case cares about that fan-opinion?

From these albums which were made under NB they seem to have got the licences of the most hits of course. Which is very common if thinking about BEST OF -compilations.

So, already know the Japanese edition setlist? :D

As a collector, I must buy it. But I think, it will be two CDs with ALL the albums and many singles and some bootlegs on it. Yes, even bootlegs!

It would have been cool if we could have voted on the songs&maybe, like Earl said, some of the rarer ones might have been included, like "Falling Into Fantasy", "Into Deep Blue", etc. and some of the Hymn to Life&WFTD songs.

That would have been a great idea - if it had been limited only to rare songs and not hits. Ah, have to say I nearly love those songs like Falling into Fantasy or Into Deep Blue. :music:

Come on, guys, hold yourselves in your pants :D TT nor Jens haven't confirmed that the set is really coming. But I think I read from the Finnish side that strato had a deal about two albums with Sanctuary.. So if "Stratovarius" was first, is this the last album of Stratovarius :?:

Anyway, I'll buy it! Learning To Fly should have been there, though.. it's one of the most encouraging songs from Strato...

I will get it either from CenturyMedia, or MetalDisc. But, I checked both sites&nothing is there yet. :( Supposedly the set was going to be out by the end of the month. However, CDs are usually available in Europe a couple weeks before uSA.
