I remeber I saw a picture from a bronze drum-set made by Paiste. That's my dream instrument..

Re: Your dream instrument...
Fernandes!!!!! cool choice bro
My dreams have changer quite a lot lately
To begin with basses:
Fender American Jazz Bass, with different colour & pikcguard, but basicly this
It simply is a pro-tool for about everything
Fender american precision Deluxe, one looking exactly like this some kick & punch for any situation
Music Man Sterling model fith these exact colours, the thing is soooo damn beautyful and worked better for me than Stringray, thanks to that pickup "blender" (try it and you understand)
That be basses and then a few guitar-dreams
PRS Standard as 22-fretted version with PRS stopbridge much better to play than gibsons, and still sustain the same exelency of sound that Gibsons have, love it!
Same as the other one, but cool singlecutted model
same as that standard, but hallowbody cool as hell!
(though colours would'nt be my dream ones that I would change )
I know, I drem big

Re: Your dream instrument...
Well, let's say that dreams change, I would like a completely selfmade custommodel from Alembic. I have already designed it and it would cost me like over 10000e made out of bes parts that I ould imagine it's a sweet dream, also a Conklinbass would be ice but to be realistic, I would like somethin' more simple and nice. I'm speking of Gibson THunderbird IV , allblack, with Bartolini soapbar pickups , hipshot b-bridge, quick D-tuners and of course some LEDs, a "claw" in the front so I can bend it (like Billy Sheehan) and an autowah switch. Ofcourse, original mahoganybodies and necks wouldn't do. A custommade neck adn body struckture to prevent the neck from breaking would be nice. All of these would be really expensive and wild dreams. More realistic dreams would be an Epiphone made Thunderbird Gothic and and this in guitars

Ibanez. Plain and simple but a real beauty.
Then the Epiphone

I think that Rudess has switched over to a Korg OASYS as his main controller now. They are awesome, but extremely expensive. Around $8k-$9k USD.NeonVomit wrote:Our keyboardist has the new model of that, the K2600.Stratovarrior wrote:

Re: Your dream instrument...
Well, a step closer to getting a good guitar, not a dream guitar but really good for me anyways. A used Ibanez RGPrestige from the 90's, with FR-licensed, new pickups and other delicaties the new ones don't have. The FR is really sturdy for a licensedmodel and the pickups (Air Norton on the neck, SH7 singlecoil (the Satriani) on the middle and DiMarzio Dropsonics on the bridge) are just awesome compared to the crap that is sold on the RG's nowadays. Also the neck is very thin and very "fast" so to say and well i like the playability, the acoustic sound is nothin particular but when put to tube amp , it's as flies me as close to Guitaristheaven as i can get with the amount of money that I have. Also for basses, I'm trying out new instruments so that I will find my new partner, nothing fabulous, just a cheap instrument with capabilities adn potential of becoming a great instrument with upgrades. as long as the neck is good and the woods are good and they sound ok , I don't care about the pickups or the electronics or the hardware, I can always change it if I feel like it. Sounds just too good to be true, so that why it is a lowbudget dream

Re: Your dream instrument...
Sounds nowhere near as good as a real one. A proper violin is small enough to easily transport anyway, so just adding a good pickup onto it should give the same advantages.NeverendingAbyss wrote:I heard about the electric violin, but i never heard its sound.
