Yeah, I've never heard of anything like that before. In all my years of meeting bands and going to meet-and-greets, I've never heard of having to pay a fee to meet the band. Usually you have to be part of the band's fan club or something like that, or if they're having an autograph signing at a store, you might have to buy a CD for the "price of admission", but it is not enforced that heavily.
I don't know, I'd pay $90 to see Strato, easily, without blinking (though I'm glad it's not at that point yet to where I have to).
