Walker
A very good film about the filibuster William Walker. Ed Harris does a brilliant job. This film is quite absurd and has some anachronisms like choppers, Newsweek and Marines, just to remind the audience of more recent events in Central America. Highest possible recommendation.

Spiderman 3

I could say many spoilers, but I'll pass this time. :D
I haven't laughed so much with any other movie for many years, that's all I'm gonna say. Really enjoyable.

It definetly is the worst Spider Man, but I still enjoyed it. It was darker but had a lot more comedy than the first two. The jazz-club scene was horrifying to see on a Spider Man -movie. :errrr: [spoiler-alert:] I was also dissapointed how Spider Man's greatest villain, Venom got so little screen-time. :P

Bruce Campbell's cameo though...

I watched Forrest Gump on Sunday. I have seen it a few times before but I never realized the love part of this story. And now it really catched my heart.

I think it's a wee bit over-rated. Tom Hanks does a brilliant job and there are some very funny scenes, but some aspects of the film make me puke. :yuk:

Watched Transamerica the other day. A different kind of road movie. Very good. Didn't win all the awards for nothing.

Who cares? Maybe those who had lost their loves and they know its very hard to live on with the love in their hearts without them. It is so damn reflecting...

Thanks for the welcome. I hope I will stay for a while at least. And hope to enlight this forum again with my responses /haha

Just watched Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name.
Freaking confusing, freaking good!!!

Ok, the acting ain't good, but the movie is as confusing and complex as Mission Impossible one!

And I've heard the anime is better! Can't imagine how can it get better than the movie!

I recomended to ppl who don't care about the acting...

Once Upon A Time in the West is twice as good as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Unforgiven is perfect aswell. Unlike in many other films violence is shown as something utterly disgusting, as it would appear to the average viewer in reality. Gene Hackman rightfully got an Oscar for his performance.

I watched a far-out spanish film the other day, Lucía y el sexo. Didn't make a lot of sense to me, maybe cause I had fever that day.

Theres a movie about Death Note??!! O_o

Holy crap I have to see it...

On a different note, just saw Schindler's list yesterday... "damn" is all I have to say... brilliant movie.

Once Upon A Time In America
Four hours and I didn't feel bored for a second. Robert De Niro at his best. I'll have to remember this the next time I do a list of my all-time favourite movies.

Octopussy
An acceptable Bond-movie.

I have seen many movies in the cinema at Nordfest. They all were from northern countries. But I fell in love most with the Laitakaupungin valot and all the film by Aki Kaurismäki. Koistinen rulez. :(

I hope this is true! I loved that show&Lance is a terrific actor! He plays weird roles great, IMO.
Millineum was like a cross between X-Files, CSI&Hawaii-Five-O. And that spooky theme music gave me chills! :nervous:

Watched one of the best movies for a long time, not even The Departed, which I watched few days back, beats this one: The Proposition. An aussie 'western', the script and music are by Nick Cave. Reminded me quite a bit of Apocalypse Now. Highest possible recommendation.

Miu Gaan Diy / Infernal Affairs
Movie that Martin Scorsese's 4 time Oscar -winner, The Departed is based on. All respect to the original, but I do prefer Scorsese's version.
Besides, this one didn't have Jack Nicholson uttering the words: "When I tell you to dump a body in the marsh, you dump him IN the marsh. Not where some guy from John Hancock goes every Thursday, to get a fucking blowjob! "(ok, not THAT great, but cracked me up) :D

Perfume: A Story Of A Murderer - weird movie, weird story, extraordinary cinematic experience from every point of view. Recommended to those who like their movies a bit different from regular Hollywood stock.

Pirates Of The Carribean: At World's End - decent ending to Pirates trilogy. Nothing special, usual tales of pirates' morale, supernatural beings, sword fights and love. Worth seeing ...

I think it was a bit weird, certainly not anywhere near to Mexican director style, but I liked it.

Rome is unbelievable, me and my friends are watching it right now (one has the first season) and we are all loving it.

The long shots were a bit weird, definitely not something one can see every day. The best part was when a child's cry stopped the fighting ...

Too bad there won't be a third season ... But with the series ending (I won't spoil it) I don't think that third season could add something.

Well, if it's good I am happy, they will not ruin it by extending it on and on.
