In Sweden too (I think) but there are some good players in Finland playing at good teams: Niemi (Fulham), Hyypia (Liverpool...he knows some spaniards friends from Liverpool team hehe), Pasanen (Werder Bremen)

Don't forget Litmanen, although he is starting to be quite old already.RazielSR wrote:Yes, I know in Finland the people prefer Ice hockey.Carcass wrote:I know a bunch of Spaniards from Burgos who are going to see this match in Helsinki.

One summer that I was working in Spain the first thing one guy from the workplace said was "Aaaah, Jari Litmanen!", when I told I was from Finland.

Totally agree. Still I don´t see any reasons to hate soccer. Except the hooliganism, but that´s not a sporty reason.Carcass wrote:I prefer ice hockey. Football is too slow for me.

I don't think I hate any sport, I just don't pratice them
What I like the most is to make fun of my friends when my favorite team wins.
BTW, today: Brazil x Ecuador

I'm not sure about Brazil, after last game against ColombiaStratoTimo wrote:DIH and OPOJ, your teams is going to win your games
And don't care much about them anyway, when I said favorite team I was talking about Santos (local soccer team in Brazil)
I guess you've heard about someone called Pelé . He played for Santos during the time he played for Brazil and still goes to the stadium here to watch some games.
Re: Finland - Spain (do you like football? )
I remember Jari a lot. He was one of my favourites players when I was a child (now I'm 24). I support Valencia team, and I remember the matches Valencia-Barcelona...It was hard against Jari jeje.Carcass wrote:Don't forget Litmanen, although he is starting to be quite old already.RazielSR wrote:Yes, I know in Finland the people prefer Ice hockey.Carcass wrote:I know a bunch of Spaniards from Burgos who are going to see this match in Helsinki.

I think his best years was playing for Ajax. Now he is playing for Malmö I think.
Anyway, 0-0 ...what a boring match...But hey, 100 years for Finnish Football Federation!

I enjoy watching soccer. Not American "football", or anything related to that, Rugby, etc...
The World cups are quite enjoyable. I watched almost every match of the last world cup.
I hardly watch tv at all. Football and F-1, that's about it. Otherwise movies. I'm into reality of life, not what's happening on tv, but around me and in the great wide open world. It's a scary place at times.
A movie is a good way to escape from the "rat race". Alcohol and drugs are not. They just make the problems worse. I went off-topic again. I should really write that book at some stage...
