So, who else is going to see the last gigs of this awesome tour?
I gotta admit, I don't listen to Iron Maiden as much as I used to anymore, but heck, their live performance is fucking awesome. I attended their concert last march in Sao Paulo, it wasn an amazing experience.
Really looking forward to this one. Really pricey tickets, but it must be worth it. I think this will be as big as the Rock'n'Rio concert, given the size of the Interlagos Formula 1 circuit!
I wonder how many people they'll be able to stuff in there? Perhaps as much as 150,000-200,000? Cause the 40,000 tickets for their last concert in Sao Paulo sold out in less than 48 hours. This is going to be insane!
Now I'm completely fucked transportation-wise. I don't drive, and I'm like 20+km away from the circuit, and it's not easy to get there using public transportation, I think. I'm far from other venues such as Credicard Hall, for example, but those are more accessible, I think. You guys got any tips? I hope there will be special transportation plans for that day.
Bruce did say they had plans to come back to Brazil, and Sao Paulo in special next year. This is fantastic!
Up the Irons!

Hell yeah. Bought my tickets already, the really cool thing is they are going to a soccer stadium, so full on tour equipment, fuck yeah!

Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
When they played here in March, they didn't bring all tour equipment, and they played in a soccer stadium.
They said they were going to bring it all to the circuit, though.
Their concerts kick ass.

Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
I already have my ticket for the Guadalajara show
Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
Unfortunatly being a broke musician myself I was not able to afford tickets to their tour.
I am truly sad that I missed it as I'm sure it's a great tour as Iron maiden always puts on a great show.
Hopefully I can see them next year.

Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
I don't take a camera with me. Too crowded, too risky. Even my cellphone doesn't sport a camera (yes, I'm that cheap). And I doubt I'd have a single opportunity to take a pic, the "The Trooper" section is insanely crowded...

Outstanding!
The organization sucked, though. But man, that was the best concert I've ever been to!
Maiden never ceases to overwhelm my expectations!

Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
Yeah. Maiden are a great life band. But their latest album is bad IMO. I actually don't like any album they've released since Bruce is back. The last interesting Maiden Albums for me were the one with Blaze.
Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
Yes, I agree on AMOLAD. I am a huge Maiden fan but just can't get into that album, I like the first 2 songs but that's it. Dance of Death was a bit better but nothing great either. I love Brave New World, tho. Didn't care much for Blaze-era stuff, didn't even go see them when they played here in 96 and 98.Ragehead91 wrote:Yeah. Maiden are a great life band. Hopefully the new one will be better than AMOLAD
As far as the concert last February 26th, it was absolutely amazing. They always deliver live, have never dissapointed me.

Re: [Iron Maiden] Last leg of the Somewhere Back In Time Tour
Yeah. What do you think, will the next album be the last one? They said that they were only gonna do 15. Do you think that they'll continue?
