I'm impressed with everything I heard, and must say that Kupiainen rocks!

Hope that there is at least a bit of "dueling" (fuck, for that matter, these two could probably play some pretty wicked harmonies) between him and Johansson!

Could be the best release in years- but I wonder if the album cover references this type of Polaris

I’m so glad to see that string section at the end. It’s great to see that kind of thing and other classical elements being a big part of the band still.

Wow.

I am thoroughly excited with what I'm hearing. I love the guitars, the keyboards, the drums, the melodies and Timo's voice really sounds like it's being used to it's best potential. Can't totally judge by the short passages in Lauri's delightful little video, but man, oh man, what we can hear so far is something to be really excited about. It definitely seems the "essence" of the Stratovarius sound has been retained, while a whole lot of exciting elements have been added. Can't wait to hear MORE!

I would say it depends. It can be both good and bad but I think with a genious like Jens nothing can go wrong.

Well, I think this is where we see the lack of Timo Tolkki the most, the production. Timo was a great guitarist, but there are plently of great guitarists, he was a great singer, but those are common too, they already replaced him with another great singer in 1994 and he's a great songwriter, once again, it's all replaceable, and in all honesty, great guitarists and songwriters, even come in a package deal occasionally.
I'm not worried about any of those things.

What was so extraordinary about Timo Tolkki was his ear for the perfect sound. Dreamspace in particular, is a production masterpiece, I kind of feel like the clips we're hearing are a tad overproduced, it's like it's trying too hard, but I guess I'll have to wait to hear the final product.
