Amazing song once again, and ofcourse it's going to sound better when you listen it with better quality :) It feels like everyone in the band have now more freedom to express themselves, as some one said before me in this topic
Forgive me my bad english.

Yes, that is a great thing too. It seems there is plenty of freedom in the band to write and compose and everybody gives his own opinion. That is what makes even greater this fresh and new Stratovarius. I think this is one of the reasons why they are so happy, excited about anything and are so good vibes in the band.
There will be many different songs among themselves, you will like more ones than others because they have been written by different people and everybody has his own style which you will like it more or less, because every single listener is different too.
Great! Be patient my friends, it's hard but the countdown has already started!

I love the new song, combines the old with a new style! Difficult to compare with RR songs though cause theyre different, but I think I will generally prefer Polaris :) welcome back Strato!!!

I am very happy and excited about this album, even more if Lauri is coming here saying Polaariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis! I am so happy about this album, you are gonna love it bla bla bla!!! Which is excellent and very sad at the same time cause we have to wait.

This absolutely a 10/10 song for me. Really uplifting, catchy and more complex than many previous Stratovarius-singles. I also thought it had the same scifi-feel as the Polaris-cover art.
Now I really can't wait for the album. :)

After my first listening I only can say I felt wings coming out from my back as I was listening.
I think this is what the song is all about, this is what Strato is all about.
No chance for me to separate in pieces, no chance to analyze it yet, neither to compare to anything. This was absolutely new for my ears and for my heart, and I am happy :)
Now I want more!

I love the chorus, and the rest of the instruments, but other than the chorus, the vocals sound really weird.

The odd vocals have nothing to do with Timo's voice, which sounds awesome. It's just how the song is written that makes it sound weird.

Well... not bad...good... But it's not an Eagleheart or a Paradise or a Hunting High and Low. :| Something is missing... I'm disappointed. It's more prog metal than Stratovarius... And Higher We Go is much more a Kotipelto solo song than a Stratovarius. I fear Polaris...

It was Best Stratovarius Ago after elements. It sounds more "modern" than former Strato, and it´s a good thing.
Vocals sounded little bit strange to me TOO specially in the chorus.
The Music was much more progressive than the old Stratovarius. Due to composers :D
Solos were excellent in every way, and Matias is a true virtuoso!

higher we go the sample is not inspired me much but this changed my mind about the new album is to make every effort.
I would really like to hear the song which rang work in progress III second snippet, It simple sounded awesome!

But I´m eagerly waiting 13.5.2009 :P

Of course it is completely different, if you are looking for a Visions pt.II, listen more the future RR albums.

This is fresh revitalized Stratovarius, not the old tired formula.
For example, you can't create Master of Puppets again if you are Metallica. Stratovarius did it in the Episode/Visions/Destiny/Infinite era, each album was a musical continuation from the last one. And these were the reason why Stratovarios could not regenerate itself falling apart through the last 6 years.

A change of heads was the best thing for this band, musically. I'm so fucking proud

Many people here said that Higher we go is a "normal" song because it seems from Kotipelto's band... (to me that is false and it's just because you know that Kotipelto wrote the song).

Ok, now we have some Stratovarius song with the typical Strato sound, but different, with some changes that are clearly showing that the guys are trying to make a fresh sound, and that's really good, really amazing I think.

And then you say "oh higher we go should be better as a single..."

And I say....

POLARIS SEEMS GREAT AND HIGHER WE GO AND DEEP UNKNOWN ARE REALLY FANTASTIC SONGS TO ME.

Because they are.

I can't, I can't wait to get Polaris in my hands.

I agree with you

Thanks to the guy who posted this song on YouTube!
Is awesome, I love it & I can't wait for the whole album too :D
