Yeah, the vocals sounded a bit strange to me too. It's a great song, there are some parts I like more than others. This reminds me of the Elements style. I have listened to it very few times so I think the more I listen to it the more I will like it. I like Higher We Go a bit more, but both are great songs :)
I am very happy and excited about this album, even more if Lauri is coming here saying Polaariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis! I am so happy about this album, you are gonna love it bla bla bla!!! Which is excellent and very sad at the same time cause we have to wait.
Thank you guys for these gifts.

Actually, it's quite different from the previous Stratovarius style. This is more prog metal influenced with more evolved harmony, chords, singing, melodies and so on. And I like it! It changes from what we were used to hear from Stratovarius, which was more linear in terms of harmony.

Really cool song! I like it more than Higher We Go, which is more like an old-fashioned strato song

this is exactly what the band needed, a breath of fresh air, and not just recycling the already recycled material. just my $.02

I have to agree with you. Songs like Higher We Go tend to bore me a little bit, though I still love the old albums.

This is a fresh yet familiar sound to the Stratovarius we all knew. This definitely has more of a progressive feel and I love all the playful notes in the solo and at the end with the guitar doing the vocal melodies and arpeggios. The only thing that feels really different is the production, but maybe it's because i'm listening to the song through youtube. Overall great though! I'm curious about the lyrics too

Holy shit, this is so awesome!

Can't wait for the album release! This was recorded from radio and still it kicks some really serious ass, try to imagine the real thing in your stereo (or better yet, live)!

Taking a chance
Go again
To the great unknown

Facing your fears
And feel
Was all your mind went low lah lawl (or something )

[bridge]
Fall into the sea
So you will be free
Into the deep
You disappear

[choir: "Dive... Into... <something>... Below..."]

[intro: Jens]

[chorus]
Dive <something> to the ocean
Find more about your emotions
Exit through (or something )
Far beyond the imaginary borderline
Into the deep unknown!

Need to breath
Might drown (or something :lol)
You can't inhale
No one around
Sliding down
Time passes by, you can not fail!

As life fades away
There's so much to gain
No, holy lord
It's not in vain!

[solos: Matias, Jens, Matias + Jens]

[chorus x2]
Dive <something> to the ocean
Find more about your emotions
Exit through (or something )
Far beyond the imaginary borderline

[outro: Matias]

This is very progressive, and heavier than usual. I just love it. I think it's the natural progression, Stratovarius music applied to modern days. A masterpiece!

I think it's something like:

Taking a chance
Going into the great unknown
Facing your fears
And feel what's on your mind when [you're alone]?

Fall into the sea
Soon you will be free
Into the deep
You disappear

Dive deeper into the ocean
You'll find more about your emotions
As you go far beyond imaginary borderlines
Into the deep unknown

Need to breath, might drown
You can't inhale
No one around, sliding down
Time passes by, you can not fail

As life fades away
There's so much to gain
You're holding on
It's not in vain

Dive deeper into the ocean
You'll find more about your emotions
As you go far beyond imaginary borderlines

Dive deeper into the ocean
You'll find more about your emotions
As you go far beyond imaginary borderlines

You're telling me... I can't stop listening to Deep Unknown! Or Higher We Go! Two amazing songs off of what I'm hoping is their best effort of the new milennium.
