Yngwie - The Infamous "Unleash the Fury" Flight
Post
by Burning Reflection » Tue Apr 28, 2009 8:46 pm
I was looking for a funny video of Yngwie going off on that woman on that Tokyo flight in 88 when I came across this interview...
Yngwie Malmsteen wrote: It was a couple of years ago, when a sound byte came up on the Internet of me screaming on an airplane. Yeah, it happened. But it did happen in January 1988. Most people don’t know that, they think it happened in 2002. It’s a long story, but the whole band was flying to Japan and everybody at the time was really into drinking and being real assholes. So we were making all this noise on the airplane… the keyboard player was the worst. And then we fell asleep.

What exactly did you do Jens?
Does anybody have a funny parody video of this incident?

Oooo myyy goood! After what Jens did at backstage at the Vienna gig in 2005 I don't want to imagine what he did there on the plane.

S a tested is a porba hullék,
Akkor is van még remény,
Mert a lelked továbbra is él."

Good Lord, this is ancient history - like over 20 years. But I guess any "good dirt" will be dug up again as long as the principals remain in the public eye. If you want to know the details, keep Googling - they're out there. I've no interest in exhuming such decomposed matter. All I'll say is, Yngwie did get the worst of the publicity, thanks to the recording, but he was not the sole participant.

That reminds me of the WWE (back then WWF) Flight from Hell. That was somewhen in the beginning of 2002. A lot of the guys (especialy Scott Hall who is a known alcoholic) were drunk. Brock Lesnar and "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig startet a fight, Michael P.S. Hayes got his Hair cut of and the stweardesses were harassed. There was even a short time when you couldn't see the plane on the radar and everyone thought it crashed. But nothing serious happened,

Woah man, relax! I'm sure most of us here know about this, just wanted to talk about something funny and get a laugh. P.S. Principal is your "pal" like the one at school, not the principle you're refering to
For those of you that haven't heard it or need a reminder...this is the clip of yngwie after getting ice poured on him

'You've released the fooking fjoory'
The best part of that is Joe Lynn Turner's quip 'If they want a war we'll give them a war'

I appeared agitated? I assure you, it was not so. Just find it curious how this incident resurfaces at odd moments.
As for the grammar question, you are correct to use "principal" for your bud running the local school, but the way I used it is correct as well. I was referring the the original participants in an event.
Check it out.

I used to have it as an alarm tone on my phone so I know it pretty well. I don't think he is.

I had this clip already. You unleash the fooking fjury!
Is it Anders talking at the end? "quite amusing myself" "it's action"!
Life's to short to cry
Long enough to try
