....And to round off the interview, Deep Unknown. Excellent. I do hope it's the opener for the UK gigs.

Glad you all liked the interview. It was a bit rushed as it only took place on Thursday night.

I only had the one track which I played straight afterwards - however the full album arrived today. It sounds good and I'll play more in future shows.

Just for informnation, the UK is one hour ahead of most of Europe (Germany, France etc) and we have summer time just the same as other countries so we stay one hour ahead.

The "What's New?" show is on every Friday night - 9pm - 11pm UK time (22:00 - 00:00 Central European Time) and mainly I play pre-release tracks. This week's playlist (with album release dates) was:

Touchstone - Strange Days - Wintercoast - Heavy Right Foot - 29 May
Eureka - Departure - Shackelton's Voyage - Inside Out - 22 June
IQ - Life Support - Frequency - Inside Out - 22 June
Astra - The Dawning Of Ophiuchus - The Weirding - Rise Above - 20 May
Manic Street Preachers - This Joke Sport Severed - Journal For Plague Lovers - Columbia - 18 May
Draven - Don't Cut Yourself - Eden - CNR - 25 May
Livid - Slide Song - One - Lost Lady - 25 May
The Butterfly Effect - Window And The Watcher - Final Conversation Of Kings - Superball Music - 29 June
Amoral - The Year Of The Suckerpunch - Show Your Colours - Spinefarm - 06 May
Hanging Doll - Iniquity - Reason & Madness - Once Bitten Music - 25 May
Black President - So Negative - Black President - People Like You - 11 May
Jim Davies - How We Roll - Electronic Guitar - Mascot - 26 May
CKY - The Boardwalk Body - Carver City - Roadrunner - 18 May
The Jokers - Star Raver - The Big Rock & Roll Show - Cargo - 29 June
Interview - Stratovarius (Timo Kotipelto)
Stratovarius - Deep Unknown - Polaris - Ear Music - 18 May
Jorn - Below - Spirit Black - Frontiers - 05 June
Celesty - Greed & Vanity - Vendetta - Spinefarm - Out Now
Devil's Whorehouse - Wicked One - Blood & Ashes - Regain - 11 May
Acid Drinkers - In A Black Sail Wrapped - Verses Of Steel - Mystic - 11 May
Lay Down Rotten - Thy Won't Be Done - Gospel Of The Wretched - Metal Blade - 12 May
Blood Red Throne - Harme - Souls Of Damnation - Earache - 01 June
Hatebreed - Refuse / Resist - For The Lions - Century Media - 11 May

Please listen in to this - and other shows - on www.phoenixradio.co.uk - comments welcome!
