So many great choices. But if I had to pick, I'd have to go with:

Favorite Album: Elements, Pt.2
Favorite Song: Eagleheart

Granted, I'm somewhat of a newer Strato fan, but I am still surprised to hear how unpopular the Elements albums are with some fans (and even some of the band) because I think there is some amazing material on both of those albums.

My favorite album is Infinite 'cause I like all the songs on it very much and it has my favorite artwork of the band (the dolphins rule!) . But my favorite song? Of Stratovarius? I can't choose just one!

Fright Night: Witch Hunt
Twilight Time: Madness Strikes At Midnight, Out Of the Shadows
Dreamspace: Dreamspace, Hold On To Your Dream
Fourth Dimension: Distant Skies
Episode: Eternity, Season Of Change
Visions: Black Diamond, Paradise
Destiny: Destiny, S.O.S.
Infinite: Hunting High And Low
Intermission: Will My Soul Ever Rest In Peace, Falling Into Fantasy
Elements Pt. 1: Eagleheart, Find Your Own Voice
Elements Pt. 2: I Walk To My Own Song, Ride Like The Wind (bonus track!)
Stratovarius: Maniac Dance, Gypsy In Me
Polaris: Deep Unknown

Angels will cry
and the moon will disappear
the sun slowly dies
we'll be fading to the dark, so I fear...

I think that Episode is not just the best Stratovarius album. For me is the best album ever, including all the possible styles in this fucking world.

Maybe I'm a bit mad with this album, but I can't never find any song or album making me feel the same that Episode makes me feel. Sometimes I use to listen again Episode ( I have really big emotional problems while trying to listen Fourth Dimension, Epidose, Visions, Destiny and Infinite since the Tolkki's departure) and it is just incredible. Every song, every sound, every lyric, it's all just art, it's all just a gift. My Episode, my dear Episode. When I listen When the night meets the day (for example) I feel the lyrics now more than ever. "Those days I'll always recall..."
...Faster than light, higher than the sky, stronger than steel...We´re the legions of the Twilight...

For me it is not.
It is an ok album but for me it really doesn't stand out against Visions or Destiny.
it is almost the same or a bit better than Fourth Dimension that was great but definately not something they will be remembered for.

Mayhem I can (not much) understand that you or others doesn't like Episode very much, but are you saying that they won't be remembered for Episode?

Are you joking? It is one of the most strange things I've ever heard about Stratovarius albums opinions.

Oh yes yes, they won't be remembered for songs like:

Father Time
Will The Sun Rise
Eternity
Speed Of Light
Season Of Change
Forever
When The Night Meets The Day

Or Fourth Dimension:

Against The Wind
Distant Skies
Lord Of The Wasteland
We Hold The Key
Twilight Symphony

When I see this:
but definately not something they will be remembered for.
I felt the necessity to get auto-banned from the forum. Seriously, are you saying that Stratovarius won't be remembered for Episode or Fourth dimension?

Yes yes, of course I didn't write some other really good and fantastic tunes, but I was just talking about the most famous songs from each album (more or less), trying to "redirect" mayhem's opinion, cause maybe he thinks that the songs I mentioned are not from Stratovarius or something¿? :? I don't have another way to understand his post. I understand that there are opinions and I can love Episode and you can hate it, that's normal (not for me but ok...) in music. But you can't say "they won't be remembered fot that album".

I think it is just...I dont know what to say. Mayhem is for me now the most insane forumite :D :D

Well, I sort of agree. He is free to have his opinion but saying that Episode is not an album that Stratovarius will be remembered for is straight-out lying in my opinion. I know Visions is their masterpiece but Episode is considered as good if not even better by most critics and fans alike. And Speed of Light, Father Time, Will the Sun Rise, Forever and so on.

That's what I'm saying, he is free of course to like Episode album or not, but you can't deny Episode as a masterpice in Stratovarius discography.

It is the first time I read that Stratovarius won't be remembered for Episode.

I don't know why but since Tolkki is out there are many people trying to erase the past (it is ridiculous and the opinions are not gonna erase the past) but it causes a little confusion to the new fans that Stratovarius will get now. I'm not saying that was mayhem's intention.

If I was a new fan and I was entering here and I read: "oh, Stratovatius won't be remembered for Episode album..." maybe I will decide: "oh Episode is a bad album in Stratovarius discography".

I mean, I'm going too far maybe with the thing, but it's something for me like saying that humans won't be remembered someday for their wars. It's cynical.

All of Strato albums and all of their songs, but have to say that one song is a little bit more special for me, it's When Mountains Fall, first song I ever cried on when I listened to it a few months ago!

But apart from that, it's Strato for ever! One of the ten best band ever, alongside Epica, Ensiferum, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Amon Amarth, Turisas, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica and Children of Bodom!
Through the storms we've wandered
Many mountains we have climbed
But all the bad times are behind
The road is free - I'm coming home

Sorry, but When Mountains Fall does not touch me at all. I know the story told by the song is heartbreaking but it doesn't awake any emotions in my. When I listen to the song I automaticly have to think of Forever. And that song had a much bigger impact on me than When Mountains Fall did.

Well, of course it makes you think to Forever and even Coming Home, but well, even if those two songs really get on me, none of them made me cry as WMF did...

Oh, by the way, gonna listen the three songs right now!

Many mountains we have climbed
But all the bad times are behind
