Hello guys, and thank you so much for the wonderful Sunday evening at Rockin'Transilvania, Sibiu!! :) Even if people didn't fill the stadium after all, as you surely deserve it, I can assure you that your true fans were there, singing with you all the time -as I did!!! Great show - unfortunately we missed one important thing : some photos and autographs from you!!....hope the next time you will not be in such a hurry and stay with us for a while :D

I also was in Sauna Open Air and managed to burn my skin - that has not been a common problem in Finnish rock venues. But sensing Strato gig quite near the stage was more than nice, it was great. Both the crowd and the band seemed to enjoy themselves.
We were situated in front of Jörg and the drummer was nicely seen and heard behind invisible drums. :cyclop:
I also enjoyed Kamelot, and Hammerfall the day before.
It would be NICE to read something about the last gigs, please, anyone home already??

I wanted to thank you for the show yesterday in Clisson, Hellfest! It was awesome!

Sorry for those interested in the setlist, I'm not able right now to write it, I don't remember it perfectly.

Jens, I guess you saw me, I was the girl in the first row just in front of you, with the long hair and the Polaris t-shirt. Lauri may have seen me as well. Sometimes I thought you were looking at me, but maybe it was just an illusion (like at the moment you were (nicely) making fun of us with the devil horn sign!)

I took some pictures, the quality isn't great because they were taken with my cell phone, but it could be worse. I'll upload them later.

Thank you again for this great (and too short) moment!

The second day of ProRock Festival in Kiev, Ukraine, was cancelled due to financial weakness of organizers. So there will be NO any performance of Doro, Carcass, Stratovarius, Grave Digger, Rotting Christ and Finntroll today in Kiev. The official statement from organizer, Mr. Sergey Gorokh, can be found here (in Russian language): http://prorock.com.ua/main/107-vtorojj- ... menen.html

Ou, that must have been real last occasion cancel. On Saturday, just two hours before Ilosaari gig, TK was interviewed in a national radio broadcast and they were planning to leave in a hurry to reach the airport to Kiev next morning... Feel sorry for the fans in Ukraine

I saw Stratovarius also in Ruisrock and that was cool even if I remembered SOA well. Thanks 8)

That's it, I have HH&L in my head...dammit, it's gonna last all the night!

FEEL THE FREEDOM OF BODY AND MIIIIIND!

Many mountains we have climbed
But all the bad times are behind
The road is free - I'm coming home

I, yeah, I guess that's it then. And the message actually doesn't look that bad now that I read it. Boy had I hard time to struggle it down though. :D

My hand hurts, buy the way, I had no idea how hard I had to squeeze the safe barricade so that I wouldn't lose my spot. Pretty aggressive folk in the audience, really, and somehow the security thought I was the beginning of everything happening there... pushing, shoving, quarreling... I also got some threats from a bully behind me as he felt he and his harem should be in the front. Well, maybe that's basic front row stuff that happens all the time, dunno. :) Still I had a good time. I wondered, though... a band delivering peace message and the audience is unreasonable as hell. :( Or maybe they weren't even familiar with lyrics, didn't see them singing actually. And they seemed angrier and angrier the louder I "sang" the songs. :D

What's an evenbing? Is that short for evening binge? :D Glad to hear you had a great time and Strato really rocked. No need to regret your post.
I, yeah, I guess that's it then. And the message actually doesn't look that bad now that I read it. Boy had I hard time to struggle it down though. :D

I just hoped people would have been more interested in the band itself. :D But yeah, I still don't get it. I wasn't violent or contentious at all, I just wanted to keep my spot which I had since the beginning, and still it was partly scary even to be there... Never before have I seen that harsh people in any audience, even blood-faced Vader fans were okay! :D But luckily nothing happened. Ignoring those pricks and being into music was the best way to get rid of their threats. ^^

I was also at the show in Lappeenranta. My girlfriend and I were very happy to be able to see Stratovarius in our hometown. Stratovarius is one of the best Finnish bands, I've liked their music since listening to Visions in my "rippileiri" (=??? in English) back in 1997.

My gf uses crutches because of a car accident a while ago, she can't currently put full weight to her leg. We thought that we should either go to front or back so she doesn't have trouble with the foot. We got to the venue about 2 hours before the show so we were able to get good places at the very front. We thought that she should be in front of me, right behind the fence, because that way we could see the band and I could hold the pressure from behind. We're sober because she takes heavy pain killers, and I'm driving us.

There's 3 older ladies (50+) to our left. Then another small woman behind me taps me on the shoulder and asks if she and her friend can get to front of me, because they can't see anything since they're way shorter than me. I say "Sure, I can see above you", and let the woman and her friend to go between me and my girlfriend. A while later their husbands (two VERY big men) arrive, and the women tell them not to go in front of me since I let the ladies there in the first place. The two big guys stand next to me, and I thought that we should be fine for the show because people can't push me and those 2 big men too much.

I was wrong. A skinny young guy, 18 or so, starts pushing the 50+ ladies from our left side right at the start of the show. Those elder ladies obviously haven't been in too many rock shows, they are not quite sure what to do. They complain to my gf that the boy is pushing them, but of course that doesn't help. Unfortunately the two small women and their husbands near me soon leave and don't return. The elder ladies stand the pushing for a little while, and then they disappear as well.

That leaves me behind my gf, and the pushing boy next to her. We go to a lot of rock concerts & festivals, so pushing is nothing new to us. The only problem is the bad foot & crutches of my gf, she can't hold the sudden force of a push on her bad leg. That's why she decides to ask the guy to stop pushing, unfortunately that doesn't help. She even shows the guy her crutches so he would understand. That has no effect, the guy pushes her for a while, then stops for few minutes, then pushes again for a minute or two etc.

My gf grabs a good hold of the fence, and since she's a big girl she can stand still quite well. However I'm still worried about her foot, I don't want it to get any worse. I ask the guy several times to stop pushing the girl with bad leg, we're in front of the stage so everyone can see the band fine. Doesn't help. My gf asks the security person walking by to tell the guy to stop pushing, the security person replies "I can't do anything, the pressure is coming from behind". Well we know that the pressure is only coming from left side, there's no pushing from behind. I try to talk to the boy, I try to pull the kid away, I throw in an elbow or two, but nothing helps. He hangs on the fence and keeps pushing my girlfriend.

Halfway through the show the guy pushing my gf looks to his left and takes a half step away from her. I step between them, the guy can push me on the back all he wants and I won't move. Appears that he wants to push me quite a lot, but I can just hold on to the fence. There's two girls, about 20 or so, standing left of the guy. They ask me to stand sideways so we'd fit fine and all could see the show. That's fine for me, fine for my gf, fine for those two girls, but the guy...

Quite soon those two girls realize it isn't me who is pushing people around. They ask the security to do something about the guy, but again they don't do a thing. We continue watching the show, it was a good one, the band rocked. The young fellow is pretty much climbing on my back, my gf tells me that we could go to the back so I could enjoy the concert like she does. I'm a bit stubborn, I said we're fine here.

The two young girls next to the guy then ask me "Heitä toi idiootti vittuun" (~throw that idiot away) since they can't focus on the show because the pushing kid is disturbing them as well. I tell them to step to my right side, they won't be pushed there. They do as asked and step between me and my gf, and soon the young guy in yellow t-shirt finds himself between me and someone else who won't move when pushed. I follow the show for a while, and soon he's disappeared. I'm not sure if he got squeezed in too tight or if the security finally did something. After that we all can enjoy the songs.

Later during the show one of the two girls tell me "Thanks. I can't understand why security didn't do anything, idiots like that ruin the show for everyone". She didn't get to hear the song she kept asking, Father time, but apart from that the girls seemed to enjoy the show as well.

Kotipelto throws water bottles to audience during Black Diamond at the encore (as seen in this video), and I get the last bottle. I was happy to share the bottle with my gf, the heat of the tent & the physical exercise got us quite thirsty.

The show was good, first time we've seen Stratovarius live. The band rocked, and the guys seemed to have fun together at the stage. I'm very glad they came to Lappeenranta, we don't have a lot of bands playing live here, and even less quality ones. Wouldn't mind seeing Stratovarius again!

I'm not sure if I'm the bully described in other posts about the gig in Lappeenranta. I have a harem only in my dreams ( :( ), but we did have some trouble with a dude dressed in yellow at the left side of the stage. Oh well, there's always two sides to every story (like the fans of this band know...)

However I wish that everyone who was there enjoyed the show, it was a good one! Hope to see Stratovarius again in Lappeenranta!

If you see a girl waving her cane in the air in any of these videos, it's my girlfriend. Nothing makes a person on sick leave (10 months so far, might continue  )happier than a good rock show!
