Recently seen movies
Jajaja! We know. Where were you sleeping so realistically this night??And you believe that objects of sense-perception have real existence, independent of the mind? And in fidelity to nature and to accurate representation, without idealization in some poems of Living Poets Society. Huhhuh? You are only realistic in your dreams Nea. You are a true and realistic dreamer...

I like how you resort to this when you have nothing intelligent to say. Almost all your posts are this way.No matter icecar, it was just my general impression. As the saying goes, "arguing with you is like arguing with someone from the special olympics." Or whatever

Re: Recently seen movies
I was watching "Patton" with George C. Scott (who won, but refused, a Best Actor Oscar for the role) this weekend on Netflix- streaming it in HD to my X-Box. It's hard to believe that the film is now forty years old.
Favorite line by Patton to Army reporters from "Stars and Stripes" who asked about the iconic pair of pearl-handled Colt .45 revolvers he sported as part of his uniform;
"Hell no, they're ivory! Only a cheap pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse would have pearl handles on his revolver!"

It is all real to me. Are you real?
Am I real? Interesting question! Real? Yes I think I am a real person. I'm not artificial or fictional, but am I real, sincere, reputed, a genuine? Of that I'm not so sure, sorry to say. I'm a lot of characters and I'm playing more than one part on my lifescene. With you I'm an A-member on a ranch in Texas and you don't know me, the others. You have seen some gleams of me, like fragments from a broken mirror, where you also can see yourself, and that is one of the rules in this game. Maybe we both are dreamweavers that hide our real self, as best as we could.
Words,words,words. Did you buy that??

Only a few movies have done better so far in history. By the end of AVATARs run at the theatre it may hit the very top! #1!
Re: Recently seen movies
Awatar, Batman (1989) were my last movies I watched.
Awatar was really epic movie, but story wasn't so good writed. Many scenes were easy to quess before they happened.
Moderate story, great effects, nicely done computerworks I recommend
Nothing about batman, good as always

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix: I will never get tired of saying this; along with "The Prisoner Of Azkaban" and "The Goblet Of Fire", this movie totally owns!

Commando.
'I like you Sully. That's why I'll kill you last.'
-later, when Matrix is holding Sully upside down over a cliff-
'Remember Sully when I said I'd kill you last?'
'Yes, yes you did!'
'I lied.' -drops him-
-goes back to whatshernamewhocaresbecauseshe'sawoman-
'What happened to Sully?'
'I let him go'
'Let off some steam, Bennett'
Predator.
'You're hit! You're bleeding!'
'I ain't got time to bleed.'
'Bunch of slack-jawed faggots in here'

Re: Recently seen movies
Commando is probably the best 80's action film.

Re: Recently seen movies
For non stop action, lots of gunplay, and laughs in some spots I recommend:
WANTED
&
SHOOT EM UP!
Both movies I enjoyed watching this week.
And, I agree about COMMANDO, it was one of the best action movies of the 80s. I have it on tape and still watch it ever once in a while. CONAN was a good Arnold movie from the 80s, too.

Finding Forrester
Great movie. Lots of meaning. It's kind of like Dead Poets Society, but in modern day NY and racial difference.

I didn't like Wanted. It was extra-silly even for a mindless action flick.browneyedgirl wrote:For non stop action, lots of gunplay, and laughs in some spots I recommend:

+1 I couldn't even finish watching it. Angelina is my favourite actress. I usually love every single film of her, especially Tomb Raider (I am a huge fan of Lara Croft) but Wanted was soooooooooooooooooooo boring and she is SO skinny there...I didn't like it at all!Shurik wrote:I didn't like Wanted. The 40 Year Old Virgin: Steve Carell is the new best comedy actor, and this movie proves it
"Wait, do you have protection?"
"Eh, I don't like guns"
Best line ever

Re: Recently seen movies
Avatar just passed Return of the King, becoming the second highest grossing film of all time. James Cameron currently holds the top two spots.

Re: Recently seen movies
James is lucky in more ways than one, he is married to Sarah Connor!
And, AVATAR is about to sink the TITANIC!(no pun intended)
BTW, another fun movie I watched lately: IRONMAN, and the Black Sabbath tune at the end was a nice touch! Sequel soon I heard.

A classic:
A Clockwork Orange.
I could watch it over and over again. Maybe the best movie of all times!
