I think a lot of it, depends on a reader's (or viewer's) perception. Some people, such as race hustlers like Jesse Jackson, see racism hiding around every corner and behind every door- and never miss an opportunity to exploit it if it is an ideological opponent that has a slip, but yet give members of their own party- regardless of race, a pass.
Other people, such as comedians like Carlos Mencia and Dave Chapelle write and perform material that could be called overtly racist by many, but these comics use it as a vehicle to skewer those that are constantly (and hypocritcally) crying about racism. In fact, I have yet to see anyone do white stereotype humor anywhere near as effectively as Chappelle, and he is positively hilarious when he does!

Well, most people that I know are very worried about jobs and the economy first and foremost. Not that healthcare isn't an important problem that needs to be dealt with, since it obviously is. But people that don't have jobs have other worries/priorities than buying insurance. There are 20 million or so Mexican illegals here in the U.S. that cannot be turned away at the emergency room, so it's unlikely that any American citizens would be either- at least for the time being.
I can recall that the historian Bill Shirer had written in "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" that the average German was worried about his job, his family, and his friends, and moreoever, that could probably be applied to any man in any country.

Epic- I like that word! However, I think that the actual intent that I had was to skewer Dan Rather, as well as media types that have remained hypocritically silent about this, but as you said, would have crucified right-wing altar boys like O'Reilly or Hannity. But if an apocalyptic battle ensues, then who am I to complain about that?

Your Communism 101 classless society/everyone's equal propaganda won't work on me. Even you don't believe what you are parroting here. You consider yourself far superior to anyone that has an opinion that is different from your own. For instance, you probably trumpet Obungler's praises because he was the first "black" president (or accuse me of racism for being critical of a classic Marxist sympathizer like Rather- who almost could have been a forward artillery observer for the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War) while conveniently forgetting that Stanley Ann Durham, a Caucasian no less, was the mother of the current president.
And in saying that he is "black" even though he had one white and one black parent- which makes him neither completely black nor white but Mulatto, it seems to me that you have some sort of Black Panther supremacy ideology bouncing around inside of that peanut-sized brain of yours. So there's a nice plate full of reverse Jim Crow to go with your hammer and sickle,
Tovarishch!
