I will have to say that now after buying and listening to the latest E.Vil solo record that it beats anything Jani has ever done.
Ok Jani was not bad but sure he is overrated.

Re: SonatAArcticA Fans Report in!
Ok, let's revive the topic with something nice.
What's your favorite SA album and your top 10 songs?
The way I like the albums go like this:
- Reckoning Night
- Silence
- The Days of Grays
- Winterheart's Guild
- Ecliptica
- UNIA
Now, you ask... " ... Ecliptica on the 5ht possition? you are crazy"
Maybe I am, but befoere we go to the top 10 songs, let me explain what's the thing with the albums.
Me, personally love dark music. Not like "satanic" and evil shit, but more with dark beautifull topics in the music and lyrics, though it doesn't have to be sad. "Deep Unknown" for example, has a very dark vital powerfull sensation to it. A bright song would be something like "Eagleheart" or "Higher we Go". Sonata usually has dark topics to it's music and lyrics, but in The Days of Grays it just went to another level.
The music and lyrics are both really strong in harmony, and have a most amazing way to develope, and makes them just VERY enjoyable to me. Favorite Song from album: Deathaura
Reckoning Night is like a mixed bag, with classic power metal on it, but also that amazing dark touch, and songs like "Misplaced", "Don't Say a Word" and "White Pearl Black Oceans" just make me love it too damn much. Favorite Song from album: White Pearl, Black Oceans
Silence has allways been a top favorite album for everything. It's more interesting than Ecliptica (to me) and I just like the songs better in Silence than Ecliptica. Favorite Song from album: The Power of One
Winterheart's Guild is another mixed bag. It's like taking Silence and The Days of Grays in one, and with Jens playing solos, you couldn't get it wrong. Favorite Song from album: Abandoned, Pleased, Brainwashed, Expolited
UNIA is more like an experiment, and I do like it, but as an album it isn't complete I think, and feels a bit lost in some songs like.. "wtf is happening now". Favorite Song from album: In Black and White
Finally, even when I do LOVE Ecliptica, the thing is very simple. It isn't as good (to me) musically and in lyrics than the ones I placed above it.Favorite Song from album: Blank File
Also, have you noticed?
When Silence came out, people used to say... "This album isn't as good as Ecliptica, this band is a "one-album-hit" band", and today is "Silence, the Masterpiece".
Then Winterheart's Guild comes and... "They didn't even have a keyboard player, Jens saves the album". And today is "Probably the "Best" SA Album".
Then Reconinkg Night appears and.. "This album is not as good as any of the others". Then today... "Reckoning Night is also one of the best albums, with Killer songs like "Don't Say a Word" and Jani's "My Selene".
Then UNIA comes and people say "This album is terrible, the worst by far". And today I've read many comments that say: "This is the best SA album, since Marko does more and is the most interesting of all".
The Days of Grays come and people say... "This is a step back, is horrible". What will people say of it in 5 years? "It's a "symphonic-power metal" master album" I just know
Top 10 songs (This was hard to pick):
1.- The Power of One
2.- White Pearl, Black Oceans
3.- Deathaura
4.- Misplaced
5.- Blank File
6.- Abandoned, Pleased, Brainwashed, Expolited
7.- Wolf and Raven
8.- Destruction Preventer
9.- In Black and White
10.- As if the World wasn't Ending
Nope, no FullMoon. I think that you understand how I like music by now

I listened to the first 5 albums all pretty much at onceHinatAArcticA wrote:Also, have you noticed?

They were all about as good as each other, but I liked Silence and Unia a bit more than the rest, and I didn't like Winterheart's guild
But from the reviews I remember reading, Silence was more highly regarded than Ecliptica.

At least my brother swears he had one. I have some vague memories of a blond midget sharing the seat of a motorbike with a normal-sized dude.robocop656 wrote:So she was a midget??Carcass wrote:Klingenberg went to the same highschool as me. He had a vertically challenged girlfriend.

Are you serious?? That cd is just another bland "solo guitarist" cd.
Ever listen to the signature guitar wankers and other guitarists solo cds?
Most boring thing you'll ever hear. Besides maybe 2 listenable songs.
I'm just a crabby hermit.

Sooo? You have suddenly "NO CLUE" to where your closest neighbours live? Are you ashamed over our friendship? We that live in the cave next to yours.
I can understand that you will try to forget the party last week, when our sofa went to pieces. You had an inner compulsion to jump just there and after you had consumed most of our whiskey, we couldn't stop you. But what happened with your promis to fix the scrap-heap? And now you have "no clue"even to where your close caveneighbourfriends live..Betrayer...
Some trollfriend.

Don't you see what Jens wrote in "Other Discussions in English"?
