New album "Elysium", Jan 12 2011. Single on Nov 26

Stratovarius are putting the finishing touches on their thirteenth full-length studio album "Elysium" in 5-by-5 studios, Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. The album will be released on January 12th, 2011 by JVC in Asia and worldwide on January 14th, 2011 by Edel/EarMusic.



A single with two new songs of "Elysium" will be released on 26 November this year, coinciding with the start date of the "7 sinners world tour" on which Stratovarius will join Helloween as very special guests - kicking off the same day in the Szene, Vienna.

The single also contains a demo track, and two unreleased live tracks recorded earlier this year on Stratovarius’ wildly successful 2009/2010 "Polaris" world tour.



The following tracks will be part of the single:

Darkest Hours (from the upcoming album "Elysium")
Infernal Maze (from the upcoming album "Elysium")
Darkest Hours (demo version)
Against the Wind (live recording, Sofia, Bulgaria)
Black Diamond (live recording, Göteborg, Sweden)

This means Strato is really going progressive. Which is good BTW.

I would like to see some songwriting credits too.

EDIT: If someone is going to edit the Strato Wikipedia page, can you please add this bandphoto on there too? The one with TT is really outdated.

Edit II: It seems we will be getting this live version of Against the Wind on The Darkest Hours single. I'm curious if the mistakes TK did on 1:06 in this video will be on the single version as well.

Seems that the star was arriving to the "earth" if you see the artwork from Polaris, and now has landed and it's part of us, of the nature, of the world.
A lot of concept in the artwork from Polaris and Elyssium. Cause it represents the "new" band too, the new Stratovarius and how they are approaching the message to us.
Fantastic artwork, looks really fantastic. Damn, how I love this band.
