I just thought of this topic when I was reading about the silly antics of a deranged Hollywood actor...
Which celebrities have you met, and how were they in real life?
Cheerio,

Angelina Jolie some time in 2003. She was cool and had a very sexy accent plus she was going about with her girlfriend and no visible bodyguards or whatever. Also Kate Moss - don't really remember date - but she's boring as fuck. And not particularly attractive.
Black Metal is the game I play cos' no one shows me the right way...
Re: Celebrities you've met...
Keijo from Rotten Sound is a friendly dude, but hardly a celebrity.

Years ago, Geoff Tate from Queensryche was practically my next door neighbor. I once saw him in a park but didn't realize it was him until weeks later.
I hear he used to judge the Battle of the Bands at the local high school....

The most interesting in this photo with Strato is your gruesomly long forefinger that JJ helps to exhibit.Burning Reflection wrote:I did say "aye pauli, quit hoggin the ju-uice"Kosmo wrote:I hope you kicked Pauly Shore in the nuts for making Biodome..

Bill Sheehan...
I met Billy Sheehan once, at a very cool bass clinic.
(... the one on the left...)
He was a very funny and accessible guy and showed us how to work miracles on the bass. This guy is fantastic, so I was going to test his confidence a bit...
I walked up to him after the clinic to get my Mr. Big CD's signed. So, I thought I'd be clever and said, "just remember to put an arrow over your head, so I know which one is you..." I thought he'd see I was kidding (because everybody knows Billy, right? He's the greatest rock bass player alive and is up there with guys like Pastorius), but he still seemed ever so slightly thrown by my smart-ass comment. He quickly recovered though and said he would sign an extra picture for my sister. Rock humour...

Re: Celebrities you've met...
Glenn Hughes is great. I just listened to that song "Why don't you stay" of his (which features half of Europe's band members), and it struck me how effortless his singing seems. He hits incredibly high notes without any strain and with amazing power... and of course he's a bass player too. On top of that, he started out in Deep Purple, a band without whom Rainbow, Malmsteen and - ultimately - Stratovarius wouldn't have existed in their current form. Respect!stratowerner wrote:I had a very nice chat with Glenn Hughes in Belgium,he's such a warm and loving person....
