That's a HELL of a list! Oh, and good luck when trying to meet John Petrucci...If he gives a smile back at you we'll need that photo as the next X-Mas card

(no offence to anybody, I love JP

When I went with my sister-in-law to watch one of their shows, she always turned her head when the screen showed Myung's face...And I asked "Why you do that?". She said "It's just that he freaks me out"
That should sum it up

Damien Thorn wrote:I just met Paul Gilbert last week. You might know him from Mr. Big and that smash #1 hit "To Be With You". They used to look like eighties american rock stars and everything, but now they look like this. Paul's the one on the left...
He's a super cool guy and an absolute guitar genius who - amazingly - still enjoys playing with other musicians and allows them to shine as well. Really cool dude... I'm slightly beyond that going for an autograph phase, but he sure made time for his fans after the show. Really great!
I also met Tony Spinner, a fine guitarist with a cracking voice. He's supporting Paul Gilbert on his European tour. Great guy too!
Cheerio,
Damien
I would love if paul can get RACER X back together.

I also briefly met John Simpson, the BBC reporter, at my graduation at Surrey a few years ago. Huge guy, really tall. He gave an amazing speech.

Now that I remember, I stumbled across Jay Kay from Jamiroquai on the traffic lights on my way to work couple of years ago. He was in a Ferrari 599 Fiorano or 612 Scaglietti, not sure. I wanted to get out of my car and kick his ass, he's such an idiot! lol

And of course Strato...
and I met their manager already!!! Hahahaha

that's a start, right???
Hey, we've got Vai and Satriani in common! Cool! Would you go see Mr. Big (not that guy from Sex & the City) if they were to come and rock your town? By all means do, they're a great live band, one of the best I've seen - and I've seen a few since 1989...
Oh, one guy I would like to meet as well: Jack Black. Check him out in this video with Ronnie James Dio:

Jack Black's saving rock in the 21st century... and so is Steel Panther...

Yes, for some reason they're very popular in Japan. I think Paul has a Japanese wife too, but I'm not one to read the society columns, so...
Well, you're from Venezuela, right? Why wouldn't they tour your country? Maybe there'll be some kind of package tour with a big band like Van Halen (if those royal lazy dudes ever get round to recording some new songs) that they can do in the future. Who knows... everything's possible...
... and what's that thing between you and Adrian? Come on, admit it, you can't resist a guitar player. Be honest!
Cheerio,
Damien

I promised myself the same thing. Musicians are vain, egocentric, untrustworthy, selfish and insecure. As a musician myself, I tick all of these boxes and every relationship I ever got into with another musician... didn't end well. I get along with scientific types much better.

I don't know... It's weird... sticking your tongue out is hardly illegal, but at the same time it's rather obscene. So, that's perfect for rock 'n roll. I'm not sure how Gene's tongue got to be so long though. Lots of practice, I guess...
