I like an honest man even if i hate his opinions.
And i'm sorry, i can't hear this ''Stratovarius money machine''. Only thing i hear is musicians making music the fans, and themselves will enjoy.

Sumerian:I am being totally respectful to you, if you are taking it as me slamming you then there is nothing I can do because no one can hear the emotion in one's voice by simply looking at text.

and yes you are free to say whatever you want to however don't get all upset because there are many of us who still love Stratovarius and don't think of it as a "MONEY MACHINE" as you call it.

did you ever stop to consider that maybe some of the remaining members love the band and that they don't want to disappoint the fans by breaking the band up?

OK, now you've gone too far. Money machine? Are you nuts? The only thing I hear about Strato is the fact they keep making music just because it's their passion and they care a lot about their fans to split up...Don't you remember who was the one that wanted to end this? No reason to offend Tolkki in this way, because he's a nice guy (sometimes), but you and your "Tolkki is Stratovarius" plan isn't working anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to listen Symfonia when the record comes out, because I like TT's musical style and I love listening to his music

The complete lack of musical honesty in the band now is already a tragedy for real Stratovarius fans. Do you ever stop to think that?

Everyone can agree their style is completely different from Tolkki's songwriting. So fuck, why they keep the name. Just to exploit the Stratovarius legacy of Timo Tolkki.
No reason to offend Tolkki in this way, because he's a nice guy (sometimes)
And I am sure Timo Tolkki gives a fuck what you think.
but you and your "Tolkki is Stratovarius" plan isn't working anymore.
He wrote the same songs that you love. It was his baby since 1984...

And who on Earth is exploiting the name?! Geez man, you're starting to get really annoying!
Sumerian wrote:And I am sure Timo Tolkki gives a fuck what you think.
I don't care what he thinks, I know he must be a great person, but his actions don't prove that at all. Not liking him as a person doesn't mean I don't like his musical compostions
Sumerian wrote:He wrote the same songs that you love. It was his baby since 1984...
But he gave the rights of all of his songs to the Stratovarius remaining members, and as far as I know something about copyrights, that means he gave up the name of TT in all his songs. Which means the name fits the band, and the band has all the freedom to play all his material

The Strato guys are exploting Timo Tolkki's music and brand name to make money because they did not have the courage to create a new band like Tolkki. Simple. :)

Yes. Legally they can play everything but morally is it wrong since they perform songs they did not write. And this immoral money-hungry attitude will show through the music. This is why the true fans don't accept Elysium and I am starting to feel this here, slowly...

And since when, if you can tell me in your imaginary world, does Strato turned to be a band that carried with the name because of the money? You apparently know nothing about loyalty; even if Strato was called "Sumerian", they would still kick ass, because the name doesn't matter, but the quality of their music...And you call yourself a real fan, God!

They might still be a quite good band to some younger and naive ears who cannot tell true musical honesty, but why must they exploit Stratovarius name? It cannot be called loyalty to release album under this name when the guy who wrote 95% of the songs has moved already to bigger things.

Fuck, most the songs on the latest album are written by Matias. And what he has to do with the band that has been Tolkki's since 1984. There is no honesty here at all and current Stratovarius has nothing to do with real "spirit" from the band which is now carrying the legacy in Symfonia.

Maybe it may be fine for now but it will take more than few fans in an internet forum. I truly believe all things in the world come back to you in the end and Strato guys will obviously get nowhere with this uninspired and shitty 3rd rate Stratovarius ripoff I hear.

I've now come to the conclusion you are not a real fan like you call yourself. If you were, you would support them even if you don't like their work at all

How many blowjobs did Tolkki give you to come barking here? :P It is clear that at least you're someone pretty much close to him. Fuck :)
It's fine to me... He must be very busy wondering how songs like Darkest Hours and Infernal Maze tops not one or two, but many of his creations.
And I've been a fan of Stratovarius for years.

Don't feel so important, dude :P You should learn how to be polite and tolerant. Like Kotipelto, who's always nice, smiley and knows how to treat his fans.
Smart people will never take what you say here seriously.

Btw, your so repetitive with your comments. You sound less inspired than Tolkki's solos on his last records :P

Indeed Febo, you should know us a lil more before judging us: I've been listening to Strato since the "Visions" era, and I first heard of them at the age of 8. Now I'm 18, that equals 10 years of listening to this band, I've seen all of their periods, ups and downs, and still even if "Polaris" may not be the greatest record ever, it's a solid album in my opinion...And I'm sure "Elysium" won't let us down at all

Yes. That is the Kotipelto you see...
You're a joke, that's all you are.
I doubut you have even sent Jörg a message whishing him to get recovered soon. Yes, Jörg, one of the best drummers in the world; that guy who made the sound your beloved Tolkki wanted for Stratovarius possible, like Koti and Jens did.
Jörg health is first. First than Elysium, first than Symfonia and first than all of the shit you have brought to this forum.
You claim Symfonia to be all about positivity and all I can see from you is shit...
As I said, don't come here to tell us TT has now become the messiah the world was waiting for...
He's a good musician, a good composer and a guy who doesn't give a shit about his fans... that's it...

Sumerian:here is the thing I think everyone wants to get at and it's something I'm curious about as well, once again I'm going to assure you that this isn't me attacking you however I'm seriously wondering why are you even on this forum if you don't support the current line up?

That would be like me going onto the Guns n roses forum telling Axel about how I don't think it's the band without Slash, or like me going onto the Thin Lizzy forum to say that I think they are being shameful to Phil Lynnot's legacy, I don't see a purpose in it unless it's to intentionally piss people off, I'm not saying this is your aim but it's just baffling to me.

if you say you are a fan of Tolkki why not go onto his forum rather then this one?

I just find it confusing is all

Actually, most of my favorite songs have been written by Yoshiki from X Japan  you know, someone far more talented than you are, Timo.

Poor him, let's see him another chance; haven't you read that he has written the 95% of the favorite songs of all of the people in this forum?
