If the player has usb, it will be very easy..just check from yotube how. I just have very old player that has really bad sound.

Anyway, am I the only one who sees a connection between King of Nothing on Polaris and The Game Never Ends on Elysium?
I was just listening to TGNE today, and when I got to the line "Brothers and sisters of metal together", I thought "How the hell could Jens write something this cheesy without a meaning behind it?". So my following thoughts in order. Brothers and sisters of metal -> soldiers (kind of obvious I guess). Sisters = women fighting there, which only happens in an extremely big war -> this song is about the same war that KoN speak of, just from a bit earlier, when the people fighting were still optimistic.

True. Still, Glory of the World is a general power metal cheesy song, most of his other stuff isn't really cheesy (song from Polaris, soloalbums and some songs I forgot about), and TGNE's lyrics are like... Freedom Call cheesy if they don't have something more in them.

The topics of brotherhood and unity are played out maybe, but I don't think the song is very cheesy, he does a good enough job of writing the song without making it too cheesy. It doesn't bother me too badly

I think once moved, there's no way out...But who knows? Maybe we should start another similar topic and see what happens. I mean, we have a lot of Elysium-related topics in this section and I don't see them being moved at the F&C

It doesn't but I have a quite good quality mic.
I am not sure how much the quality will suffer before I try it but so far I have made pretty good recordings with it.

And I don't know in what kind of shape the vinyl player is...

Lauri's bass is blowing me away right now I love the tone and overall sound of this album. The artwork on this one is really cool too btw, like a pictorial version of Event Horizon :luv1: Aaaaahhh this is going to be an epic evening.

Can't wait to hear Last Shore & Hollowed tough Such a nice vinyl lying around and I can't play it yet


Edit: Btw... intro verse to LIAM is even more interesting now that I know what the voice is saying I'd never have thought that the guys could be inspired by Carmina Burana, not what I'd have guessed regarding their classical influences Although the Carpe Diem messages are a perfect fit of course. But still, a surprise.

novo mundo reserat
faciem Aprilis
But you should look up the following verses too, otherwise one thinks it's about the beginning of the fertile seasons and that's it It's more of a song about passion or - whatever. Still, you can interpret whatever you want in there. Who knows for sure what the heck these guys intended to say or praise back then.

Well, I learned Latin at school, but in terms of Carmina Burana, it's full of comparatives or climaxes and non-school Latin, a normal man can't translate that out of nothing anyway. I think it's okay to get help from Google in this case

I read a short report about Stratovarius in the latest German issue of MetalHammer today, and Jens told them that Elysium originally had about 30 min Matias cut it short to 25 min and then once again to the final version. The others could persuade him not to cut it into three parts, and I'm glad he didn't!

I like Hallowed. Last Shores seems kind of forgettable to me *shrug*.

Songs have been digitized and in the process of fixing some minor pops and stuff, been a few years since I've had to use Audition. They should be on Youtube by tomorrow unless of course someone from Strato or management contacts me and asks me to take them down.
