I was surprised too by rikkertje comment. Anyway it's cool if he enjoys the new album and TK's voice. I think in this album sounds PERFECT IMO while singing.Balu wrote:You like TK's voice somewhere? Meh, depends on the song I think. Most aren't as bad as losing the vampire in KoN from Polaris, but not as easily understandable as some in earlier years/Cain's Offering.RazielSR wrote:Well, to me it's the same. Re: Favorite song off of Elysium?
I love how they mixed the bass in this album. Really shows off Lauri's skills.
As far as a favorite song, I am going to HAVE to go with Elysium. How can any of the others compete?

I would like to point out that I have officially the international grade of C1 for english. That is as close as you can get to a native speaker.Kosmo wrote:Hey! Pronounciation is hard for us Finns..
And yes we have some who have difficulties with pronounciation but if you compare a Finnish school class to another one from Italy for example you can't really hear any problems with our pronounciation.
Re: Favorite song off of Elysium?
My top songs: Elysium, Move The Mountain, The Game Never Ends, Darkest Hours. Those are the best tracks imo.

Re: Favorite song off of Elysium?
I didn't like this poll much, since I didn't get to vote for 4 songs
My vote was 'Event Horizon'. I can't tell you guys how much it takes me back to the 90's with their neoclassical chaos. It's got a kind of sound from their instrumental songs that makes me want to just shout YEAH...something that never happened when listening to the Elements albums.
But, the three other songs i'd have voted for are Move The Mountain, Lifetime In A Moment, Elysium (in no particular order). One thing I hope they do on the next album is simplify their song names a bit...I felt like 'The Game Never Ends' could have been called 'Invincible' and replaced for the last 'We never Die' part at the chorus. If theres one thing that made the 90's material so memorable, it was because of that extra bit of simplicity that went into the last touches. Just something I feel they could have done with a small minority of tracks doesn't mean I dislike the album, it's my favourite release since Infinite. And that's really saying something.

Re: Favorite song off of Elysium?
As amazing I think the album is, Elysium (the track...) failed to impress me, but in stead I find myself listening to Move the Mountain over and over again. I really think Jens is an amazing composer. The songs starts so mystic. The first acoustic part is so lively, and so is when the piano enters. The song starts to get deep and the piano solo parts are so heavy and strong. I don't know what it is, but it sounds so powerfull.
Then Event Horizon, I think it works SO well with Move the Mountain, and is also the fastest Strato track in a long time. Then would come Infernal Maze and Darkest Hours. Both with great lyrics and a musical work on them.
About Elysium, It failed to impress me, but maybe that's my fault, because maybe I was expecting something that could not happen. But Elysium is actually a long epic Strato track that I like. I never liked any of the Tolkki epics... to slow and boring for me. So I do think is an amazing song, but not what I expected. Matias plays amazing here, but as for me, my favorite Matias-Strato solo is the one in Deep Unknown, and Elysium's solos (to me...) are not as amazing as that one. I just don't know what it is about them, it's just how I like them.
It's weird, but I allways find myself playing Move the Mountain, Event Horizon, Infernal Maze and Darkest Hours. Allways in that order.
UPDATE: I just noticed... I was wondering why I like so much Event Horizon's dual solo. The one in the middle that sounds so much like the Vision times... well, it's actually because it sounds SO MUCH like Holy Light...
Event Horizon: 2:12 - 2:51
Holy Light: 3:09 - 3:29
But at the same time, it's so different... but I felt quite weird when I realized that... since I allways loves Holy Light so much. Event H. Does remind me of other instrumental Strato songs, but it's somewhat very similar to Holy Light, but so different at the same time lol... I love it

Re: Favorite song off of Elysium?
I voted for Infernal Maze. I thinks it's powerful, enough melodic, with great vocals. But I actually think my favourite song is Move the Mountain. Such a great song! I also love Winter Skies but I guess MTM is much better, touch the heart! I really hope the will play both them + Elysium in a future tour.
