Winter Skies is awesome. And this is mediocre.
But I'm sure if it was a Stratovarius song, you would LOVE it right?
And you'd hate Winter Skies if it was a Symfonia song.

People have different tastes, chill out dude. Just because you don't like Winter Skies doesn't mean no one does.

When this CD is released I'm going to buy 2 copies. One to stick up my rectum and the other to poop it out on.

What? Nope. I'm not that much of a Strato fan. I listen to lots of music and know what I like and what I don't. It's just that Winter Skies is emotional and honest just like any other idea, while Tolkki is just recycling in this song.

The song In Paradisium is great.
I really can't see what you are complaining about.
With the demos Andre didn't sound this good but on this song some of the softer parts are great.
I just don't compare this to Strato and RR.

I am 98% sure that the note from Uli about his hand injury was written by Timo Tolkki himself, by the way.
Uli wrote:
Dear People,
Unfortunately I have bad news for you. I am not able to play drums in this moment.
Tolkki wrote:
"I took some time off after working with VISION DIVINE for something like six weeks. I went to Thailand for two weeks. When I returned, I noticed some weird things in the RR forum. I have no energy in this moment to moderate that place.
Tolkki wrote:
What there guys are doing in this moment by calling their band 'STRATOVARIUS' is disgusting.
I would not be surprised if this "hand injury" was a coverup for some financial dispute.
Anyways, I hope I'm wrong and that everything goes smoothly. Like it always does.

I don't think they did. Can you find a part where it sounds like they did?

The last part of Elysium "do you believe in hope and faith, or ETERNITY" seemed a little bit autotuned for me.
Or that's just Kotipelto's voice which sounds weird at that moment.

"In this moment" is a common word in English language. I think, that wouldn't talk things like this if you'd have a hand injury.

Personally I like when it all feels and sounds natural and not edited to hell. (for metal and stuff, other genres of music can probably get away with it easy) Say if the vocals are being punched in constantly and stuff. Doing songs in one take and the natural sound it makes is my favorite. But you know, it's not always possible. It sounds more complete to me that way. Just a preference. Also...A lot of people won't even pay attention to those details so it's just a minor thing.

It is not very common. "I am not able to play drums in this moment" is completely awkward phrasing. The rest of the statement has several other "Tolkki-isms"...
Maybe Uli does have a hand injury...all I'm saying is that the statement was clearly written by Tolkki. I don't even really care what goes on over there- I just thought it was interesting.

Yes off course they did. Everybody uses it. But still TK doesn't sound as tuned as Matos does.

Well, that was the main point in my comment, and I agree that koti doesn't sound as autotuned as matos, but I really don't care, because I know that both of them are very good singers

But it's far better than RR for instance.
For me this is the best thread reply. I feel Tolkki's strongest songs are usually in the faster, memorable simpler tracks. In this style he usually refines the songs very well. But Heroes isn't the best example, because though it was good the solo was a bit reminiscent of 'Against The Wind' - but his older songs with faster neoclassical solos are fucking great. His mid/slow tempo ones can sometimes repeat a little too much.. That is why the track i'm looking forward to most is 'Forevermore', it sounded badass on the live samples. For example 'Fairness Justified' from Elysium lasts 4 minutes which is of a similar nature to 'In Paradisum' but if 'Fairness Justified' was extended any longer would be risky and probably ruin the track. So I agree with what a guy mentioned about taking out a chunk of 'In Paradisum' and not lost anything, I think its true in this case well for me the chorus, can get slightly lengthy/monotonous even though its got that epic feel to it. I know the tracks are differences but thats just my opinion

Bigelf has no need for such crutches, they don't even use protools, or digital synths. Everything is analog.

My good friend, please excuse my laziness, but I'm not searching for a picture. Words will be just fine: you're a moron.
