Yea I noticed that too. It's on Helloween's website, tho

http://www.helloween.org/live-dates.html

Too bad I had already booked my flight back home for Sunday when they announced the second date, or I would go to both shows :(

Tickets for the first night sold out fast, and they told me there were not so many tickets left for the second one. The second night is on this topic, but not on the main site. Just makes me nervous.

Oh I thought you were going to both. I enjoyed reading your blog, I liked the drawings :D I agree, the Mexico City subway can be an epic experience. I have family there, so I go like twice a year - plus whenever there is a good concert. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Be sure to bring a setlist, because I can't find Monterrey's show (why are we talking in english? xD).
I was expecting they to re-add something from Polaris (Deep Unknown hopefully) and maybe add Event Horizon, but I somehow feel they played the same songs from Germany, but I must know!

I'll try to remember it :D I haven't seen any setlist, I like to go without knowing what they're going to play :) I didn't want to know Helloween's setlist either, but I saw so many songs accidentally that I just ended up looking it up

I wanted to see Strato again, fuck! :x
how do you know it is not true? what's the reason of the cancelation then? well.. I'm kind of sad over this situation... I was getting excited already.

At least I've seen them twice :) and I even met the band
They didn't even sell 400 tickets.. Why? Pricy tickets, baaaad date, basically no promotion and expensive bands that's pretty much it..

That BS telling that is an OK price because it's a 2 bands tour doesn't work at all.. (see Aleindigo with a 2 bands show too for almost half the price)

See, the Helloween/Strato tour costs $30k, that amount times 9,5bsf is equal to? A lot of Bolivares..
Now.. 600 (tickets price) times 400 (tickets sold).. Do the math.. They didn't even have enough money to pay the bands's fee and most of the bands contract says that you MUST pay at least 30% of the fees at least 2 months before the show..

Bottom line: Show cancelled because producers hadn't payed the bands and used the Easter as an excuse.

Today, my heart is broken :( I just read this on TK's facebook page:

-Geoff Waye
Will Stratovarius play in Canada/USA in 2011?

-Timo Kotipelto
So far we don't have any plans to do that. :(

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy? :(

Circo Volador, México
Yesterday:

Infernal Maze
Phoenix
The Kiss of Judas
Deep Unknown
Paradise
Eagleheart
Under Flaming Skies
Darkest Hours
Forever
Hunting High and Low
Black Diamond

This is a fucking KILLER setlist. DON'T change it for tomorrow, I beg you guys! Keep the same Setlist for the second night!... (no Strato member will probably read this :) I'm just thinking loud.)

It was awesome indeed! I loved how the new songs sounded. Both bands were incredible. Last time I saw Helloween, there was a storm too  no hail that time, tho.

Here's a short video of the storm that hit all of Mexico City a couple of hours before the concert on Saturday - some of us were still waiting outside.

First of all, the band needs to make up its mind between Eagleheart and Hunting High and Low. Playing both is completely unnecessary, and since HHAL is the better song, that means Eagleheart needs to be replaced, in this case by Deep Unknown. I have no problem of waffling between Forever and Move the Mountain, they're both great songs. In a perfect world, I'd also replace The Kiss of Judas with King of Nothing. If you wanted to do a DVD show, throw on Event Horizon and Elysium and you've got something. Preferably I'd also like to see "Forever is Today" and or "Blind", but that depends on the time constraints of the show. I do know that if they record a DVD with the new lineup, and half or more of the setlist is "Classic" songs, I'll be very unhappy.

Very nice pics, Dawn! What kind of camera did you use? And did you upload those videos? I was watching some Helloween vids from Lima from the same user earlier. Awesome quality and mostly focused on Andi - so of course no complaints there :D
