If you're desperate to see them you need to travel to Mikkeli. AFAIK that's the only show of the tour that's without an age limit. But I believe the train tickets from Helsinki to Mikkeli and back will cost over 70 Euros, so that'll be a rather expensive trip. Anyway, if you decide to go, call them first and make sure the show really is without an age limit.

Or, in case the Helsinki show doesn't sell out in advance and there will be tickets to be sold at the doors, you could just try your luck. Depending on your age and appearance there's a chance they will not ask for an ID. (My father already had a beard at 14 and had no problems ordering beer at pubs.)

The worst part is that you could tell you want to go to the concerts. I can understand somebody going to the concerts because there's nothing else to do, but when somebody really wants to go, and even walks fast so as to get there quicker, then it depresses me. Especially if I see thousands of people standing in one of those long and terrible lines, all the way down the street waiting with this terrific patience.

why the age limit?,

Post by Freedomfighter84 » Tue Oct 04, 2011 4:18 pm

Why do they have an age limit for Stratovarius shows in Finland? It seems very strange for me.It sucks. I was 15 at my first heavy metal concert. Here in Hungary there isn't any over 18 age limit at concerts. If you are over 14 you can go every show without adults.

Its an antiquated policy that originated back when Kotipelto's pants exposed his massive bulge. To protect the youth from such a display of power and virility. :)

I guess it's about alcohol politics. We have the same thing here in Norway, but often there is a section where they don't sell alcohol that is open for the youths.
We don’t necessarily discriminate.
We simply exclude certain types of people.

Actually, I've read an interview with Tolkki, in which he was wondering why their music is being called kikkelihevi ("willy metal"). He went on stating none of the band members have a very big "willy", not even TK.

That said, he also admitted he hadn't seen TK's "willy" when it's erect, and speculated on the fact it might possibly get larger.

(I'm not making this up. Some of our Finnish members probably remember this. It was in the "Soundi" magazine around the Elements era I believe.)

Nevermind, I read in another thread your nick means "GA GA GO", and it's not a derivative of "AGAG".

In light of the recent events, I find these words of yours to be a bit ironic.

That is all. Have a nice day. :)
