Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
but looks as your marketing room need back to university, mr. asshole.
If your singer "have new capacities" never in the life you can think in your empty head, do in "Performance" one album of when your singer is 10 years more young.
you need do en performance "polaris" as extra old album, Elysium or Nemesis.

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Dumbass! BACK TO THE SCHOOL AND TAKE A BIOLOGY BOOK!
Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
back to the topic, setlist was as follows:
The Kiss of Judas
Black Diamond
Forever Free
Before the Winter
Legions
The Abyss of Your Eyes
Holy Light
Paradise
Coming Home
Visions
Under Flaming Skies
Dragons
Deep Unknown
Eagleheart
Encore:
Unbreakable
Hunting High and Low
So the idea seems to be to play one song of each of the three new albums, plus Unbreakable for encore, which is a true encore-song imo. I like that. Though I'd love to hear Infernal Maze again instead of Under Flaming Skies
Someone tell me what's so good in Eagleheart? I always found that song sub par... but yeah sorry, I know it's all a matter of taste.

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
So. A few things .Infernal Maze is great, but Lauri was so fucking on point that it worked much better for him to groove on Under Flaming Skies. Eagleheart... Yeah. I'd have MUCH rather had Speed of Light. Hunting High and Low was like 10 minutes long though. Matias actually went off stage for a bit, and while Kotipelto was doing call and response "Hunting High And Low" with the crowd, Lauri, Jens and Rolf were doing a sort of improv jam for about 3-4 minutes. It was awesome.mocobhc wrote:back to the topic, setlist was as follows:

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Anyways, there's 2 videos. The Legions video is really cool, but Lauri playing a bass solo on "Before The Winter" is beyond awesome.

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Yeah, not saying I don't like Under Flaming Skies, it has a good pace and works well live, it's just that I've seen it so often already compared to Infernal Maze
Great vids btw, that's true! Didn't want to watch vids before I see the show myself, but well, that was that...

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Pretty, pretty good.
Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Good setlist, but if they want to play a setlist that can surprise us as a fan they have to play Elysium, Abandon, Stand my Ground and of course a very big medley from oldest to newest song never played live or few played!
That's it a true surprising setlist!

Totally agree with you! As much as I like HHAL, Speed Of Light etc...I'd love to hear Elysium, Abandon and other stuff live...Pancio wrote:Good setlist, but if they want to play a setlist that can surprise us as a fan they have to play Elysium, Abandon, Stand my Ground and of course a very big medley from oldest to newest song never played live or few played!

Elysium won't happen. The other stuff I agree (though I'd keep Speed of Light in)Black_Kitty wrote:Totally agree with you! Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Well, we didn't talk about a setlist that surprises, but about which songs would be played around the Visions album, and I think for that purpose they found just the right mix.
Now talking about setlists for 'normal' shows, yes agree with you. They played both Abandon and Stand My Ground at the Nemesis-tour though

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Lots of Visions songs. Hopefully someone uploads more videos??
Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Well, yes it's not a problem what they play because I love all the songs from Strato as well, but I think that, for this Concept Tour, they can leave apart some of the always-played song like Speed of Light,Hunting High and Low ecc. 'cause they play this songs in every show, and I like to hear song I've never heard live.
I mean, is a special tour and, as a Die-Hard fan, I want a very special Set-List, why don't Elysium? Why don't a big medley of never played songs? It would be great! But I know is a dream, and I'm happy with what the guys give us, let's see!

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
So at Tavastia they didn't play the Visions songs in the album order, but like this:
Forever Free
The Kiss of Judas
Legions
Before the Winter
The Abyss of Your Eyes
Holy Light
Paradise
Coming Home
Black Diamond
Visions (Southern Cross)
Unbreakable
Dragons
Fantasy
Eagleheart
Deep Unknown
Hunting High and Low
and let me tell you, these three were so absolutely great for starting the show, couldn't have been more powerful and energetic! Before the show I thought it would be better to keep the album order, but I was definitely wrong Such a tight performance, really great audience, band in a fantastic mood, lots of sweat on and off stage I also loved the cut by dropping the Visions backdrop for the Nemesis one with the beginning of Unbreakable, that was just the right song to dash into the new era Much fun

Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
Episode concept tour would be cool as well. I'd kill to hear Night Time Eclipse live again.
Or at least bring back Season of Change.

Tomorrow would be better.
Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
I'd indeed love to hear songs from episode live other than Speed of Light. Great album!
Re: Confirmed Stratovarius shows
I approve of this, such a kickass track. Also Eternity and Babylon would be awesome toofuck wrote:Tomorrow would be better.
