That's not the point. The point is that they have such a lot of great songs to choose from now, that even the "eternal" classics like Hunting or Black Diamond shouldn't be free of taking turns with other songs from time to time.
Matter of taste as usual of course, I'm sure that a lot of people would miss these classics. Well, and I'm missing more songs from Polaris and Elysium and Nemesis instead

God that intro gives me the chills every time. Lauri needs to make it downloadable on his soundcloud! (Or I'll pay a dollar for it if he sells it anywhere instead)
I`ve watched a lot of Strato-concert-videos of shows dating from october to the first week of november 2015. I'm really impressed how tight the band is playing. Also some live-gimmicks were implemented which I love: Lauri playing some keyboard chords at "Black Diamond" also some other very effective small but effective arrangement-changes implemented in older songs etc. Fantastic. I´m also surprised to hear how good! Timos vocals are actually. What the band is actually playing seems the best live-play in the Stratovarius line-up-history. A development I did not expect. Thumbs up and respect!
Definitely agree on Timo. He really sounds as if he has way more control over his voice.
On the topic of arrangements, I finally found out why I find some songs weak in comparison to the album version. Most important is Eagleheart. In the original version the bass in the verses was an ongoing line of eighth notes. Dudududududududududududu. That kept the song having a nice pace. While live, Lauri only plays one or two long notes. Duuuuuuuuuuuuu du duuuuuuuuuuu. For me that small change completely takes away the power. It feels so slow.
Then-again, there's also a lot of fun stuff indeed. Lauri playing keyboards, incorporating the national anthem of every country they visit, etc.
While I do believe the setlist needs improvement, (we've been proving that were the loudest audience of the tour in Hunting High And Low since I don't know when now), the band is musically in a great phase. Let's hope for more to come!
Maybe someone recall the Infinite Visions intro with an excerpt of Stratovarius playing Fright Night at Giants of Rock in Hameenlinna in '89.
Well, is with GREAT&ENORMOUS pleasure that I found this one from YouTube:
This is a long rec of the show itself with live version of:
Fright Night
False Messiah
Witch Hunt
Fire Dance
Black Night
So enjoy this little but also so big piece of band history.Years that I've been longed for it and now is in my hands!
Next step? The 2003 live show in Milano,c'mon Strato,we are waiting you bastards!

I've never actually heard any of the national anthems. Links to where they do it? Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention.
Also, never knew K&L have Unbreakable in their acoustic setlist. Sounds incredible.
Just found this yesterday It's great, basically the same concert twice, but the second time there's a screaming Japanese guy in front of the cameraman (or maybe it is the cameraman, judging by the distance ) so you can barely hear the music. Yoko Ono performs Stratovarius!

Lauri uses national anthems of the countries they visit in his bass solos. I guess there are some on YouTube!
It's seems that for this songs Timo still holding the key to the hands of time.
Jokes apart, to me this song sounds much better nowadays, I know that Timo lowered vocals because the time is running fast for the voice and he can't sing high like the past, but he has far much more control over it!
