I noticed that happening on a couple occasions, about a few months ago. I went to visit the stratoforum and was unable to connect. Then, I tried to access the main site, and the same thing happened.

One thing that does worry me slightly is the fact that this site's traffic is unencrypted. Though highly improbable, hopefully nobody's credentials get intercepted. :err:

Anyways, it's good to know that there are no plans to shutdown the stratoforum. :-D

If this place gets shut down then my life is over. This is one of the few places on the internet that it feels like the early 2000s. No one lashes out on one another and it's still entertaining to read everyone's comments.

I don't even have fb or instagram or twitter because all those places are toxic af. Even reddit got stupid over the past 5 years.

Tell me about it!

Everytime I make a post, some 14-year old accuses me of either "gatekeeping" or "gaslighting". What the fuck does that even mean?

Here's a good link about the "death' of the internet:

Fuck it all, lol. The internet got bad when every soccer mom and her kids got a smartphone. I’m going back to using carrier pidgins to send all my forum posts to the Finnish embassy in Zimbabwe.

Edit: Forgot to say thanks to Jens for keeping the forum up. Thanks. :)

Covefefe is fake news!! Lol. But really I’d try the coffee. I also just spent $28 on a six pack of beer like a moron. Specialty beer. I prefer dirt cheap shit your pants type. $7 a bottle, are they fucking nuts?? I’m not drinking it there. I’m picking it up and bringing it to my masturbation station. I also bought kava in tea bags. I didn’t like it, I didn’t feel relaxed. Could have been scammed. Anyway, hows your sex life?

Sounds like you bought some junk supplements. Those are ineffective at best and dangerous at worst. Order Kalm with Kava- they test their product to make sure its not contaminated, etc (too lazy to give the full explanation).

I will say this: when you have high quality Kava prepared the right way, its not a question of whether or not you will feel relaxed. Its not some esoteric psychological thing. You will feel relaxed. Of course you may not like the taste, find it too pricey, etc...those are valid concerns!

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. It was yogi Brand tea blend. “Stress relief.”

Daily reminder to make your own coffee! Clean your stuff regularly too! I had some from a gas station last night and was sick ever since. (Some situations you are stuck buying some, I get it.)

One thing since last this thread was bumped was finding a regular coffee maker that uses wifi. So you can make a pot while you’re on your way home from work, etc. The thing that worries me about that was wouldn’t that be a risk to start a fire in your house?!? Only was looking for something to make my life easier when I get hurt and can’t seem to get my fix. Still have to change and clean the parts, so, maybe bottles of iced or cold brew from somewhere would be easier?

The roomba always cleans up when my dog makes a mess!! Drags it alllll around the house until I come home. Especially mud and doo doo.

They have an Alexa microwave. Almost thought about it because my microwave is very old. Amazon makes you think you need shit when the reality is you can live without it. Well until you want to microwave a burrito.

My nightly coffee is coming up, today was kind of rough from the bad coffee last night to my stomach and all. Got to make tea maybe instead.

Here when spring comes around, they have reusable cold
brew bags that you just drop the right amount of coarse grind beans in. Something to think about to anybody interested in an easy overnight brew. It’s a niche thing, it’s more convenient for me.

My nearest Starbucks is a half hour away. Not like I’m a fan. It almost cost me $10 when I got 2 larges or whatever the fuck they call them. And it tasted like it was sitting on a heating burner for the whole day. Everytime I went there it tasted bad.
I would pay for quality except making your own at home properly is light years ahead.

This may be entirely with my store. Never was at any other stores!!

What kind of coffee do you order? Their drip coffee, or americano?

Black. I’m guessing it’s the drip. Isn’t that Americano a lighter roast? Just googled it and it says it’s expresso...

They probably have that at Dunkin, which is closer to me. I’ll try it, BUD. :D

I don't know if I said this before but the reason they roast their beans extensively is because it gets rid of the water content, making the coffee lighter and therefore able to import more quantity and pay less.

It does make their coffee taste like shit, which is why most of their drinks contain high amounts of sugar to hide such abomination.

I'm no Starbucks fan, but I would get it when I need to wake the fuck up.

Hm, damn. I never heard that before.
Only been there a few times. It costs too much for my broke ass.

I think the bitterness of Starbucks coffee is kind of exaggerated. People in general like drinks with milk sugar and other toppings, and having a strong dark roast taste helps it pierce through all the additives.

If you don't like darker roasts you can just get the blond roast like I suggested, which is a milder roast.

Americano is just an espresso with hot water added to it, so it basically has the strength of drip coffee but in my opinion with a much better flavor. The espresso method is just the best way to get the flavor out of the beans.

Regardless of whether you get an espresso-based coffee or their drip coffee, Starbucks has several different roasts available. I think the pike roast is the darkest, the blonde roast is the lightest, and I believe there's one in the middle but I don't remember the name because I'm not a fence sitter.

So no whining about the bitterness of the beans, you can choose whatever one you want.

I was drinking nespressos for the last few months. it's for people who want the convenience of making coffee at home but still want to pay the Starbucks price

So this is how you speak? I couldn't really tell the difference. I'll be honest, I speak nothing like how I type. I'm overly formal and verbose when I type. I'm usually a man of few words in person.

......Aaaaand in case anyone is wondering why my writing style has dramatically declined in the last few months, it's because I'm a malnourished fool. :? I seriously feel like I've suffered some sort of cognitive decline. I need to eat more often!

I can’t make it to Starbucks right now. I thought you quit?? Switched to kava? Tell me your secrets. :luv3:

I stick to basics no matter what. Just to get the caffeine in me. Black. Mostly iced so I don’t have to wait for it to cool down if the coffee is too hot. It’s more convenient when I’m driving to take care of the animals, also. Guess you can say I’m a whining fence sitter. :D
