Post link to your band :: Let's share

Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

Mid side technique really pulled my ass out of the gutter. (To my ears at least.)

I was struggling to get any kind of decent sound. Just "meh" for so many years. The free plugins that uad released also gave my mix that ANAL-LOG warmth. It was a saturation preamp type although I can't recall the names. I haven't used them in a bit. They do give a mix that extra push it needs when you're struggling to find that finishing touch. This is not an ad. I am Ray I. Beep boop. *farts* :red:

ask to Matías Kupiainen, Mid-side eq is cool for mastering monstly to my tastes. if you put a tons of effects in the mix you can got a huge ball of frequencies that in the mix will sound like me in my first years. like my ass, will sound mostly. and after the Mastering is more complicated, you wanna listen one example of my shits? this happen when you put a millons of plugs ins forcing all the frequencies because you brain lie you

PD: Not use samples library, sound a shit too, i did it with virtual instruments, this shit, the only human was my voice in this bullshit

PD 2: I did all this production with this sound card, i renember.

In my first years i did miracles with this class of shits :o

I was this way at first. I would download 100 plugins and thought it will make the song better. =P

People even realized you can get similar results with the stock plugins in your daw. I remember some old guys talking about pro tools has a great analog tone.

Other than some eq, DeEss. Limiter and compression, you don't need 400 plugins.

That's the truth, Bro!, actually any daw do good the job, the only think is that Pro Tools is the market's standart, all the universities teach you in Pro Tools because is easy share files between profesional studios, not mention that pro tools have some specially caracterictics that others daws meybe don´t have, example? his form of panning, i love this of pro tools, in my beggins, I started with the Old and lovely Cool Edit Pro, by that my name is Mr. Cool Edit!, now you know the history back of my name

The stuff change a bit when you record in analog Form, not all its the same there, In the digital world, they're all the same!

The first band I was in recorded in cool edit pro. 8)

One time, like 8 years ago I was going to download a cracked version of pro tools, it ended up being a huge file so I said fuck it and kept reaper daw.

I think the trap people fall in is the new plugins come out and kiddos say "hoooo, surely this will make my mix perfect!" But you end up hoarding them and wasting too much time spending all the money. (if you didn't get them cracked)

yes bro!, now is Adobe Audition, I have Adobe Audition Integrated as part of my Video Editing suits, I can do all with one program, I mean, Adobe Premiere pro cc, adobe audition CC, Adobe Encoder Media, Adobe After effects and Adobe photoshop all linked like a one one program. Pro tools is only as Music studio to me, only.....
