Today it's been like day and night compared to yesterday, pages loading fast most of the time.

We pool together money to pay for it, then. I designate a dollar of my disability pay to go towards this. "A land of new hope" in other words, AI jump fucked soon. 8)
I've understood there is a free plan too, but I don't know if that is enough.

I guess turning more forum sections hidden from those not registered could decrease the amount of scrapers. Like for example if "Other discussions in English" was hidden, that could keep some amount of them away. The section could still be shown to exist without logging in, just not accessed. Just one free option that could potentially help a little bit.

Anyways even during a past a few years when posting here needed that method Zenith made a guide for, I occasionally went to read old stuff and didn't have that much trouble with lag. If it's laggy just sometimes, I don't think it's a big issue. But if the lag hell of yesterday happened regularly, that would be very annoying.

Hahaha! I hope the forum folks—administrators, programmers, or some of them—will tell me something. Someone changed the forum code, adding something that fixed everything. It's working perfectly for me now. Did they listen to that insufferable Mr. Cool Edit? Maybe they ignored him and did something else because his voice sounds like Timo Tolkki's villain? Maybe... maybe... maybe...

The point is, this fixed the problem, at least here in Argentina. And I'm using Linux on a 2010 i7 875K. Kids.

Yeah, things are dramatically different from yesterday. Now I see only 125 guests on the forum index page, compared to over 1,000 from the past few days. Hopefully it stays that way. :)

A simpler method than using Cloudflare to prevent rectal devastation by bots is to simply blacklist or timeout the IPs of those who are making HTTP requests too frequently. Well, that only works if the bots are indeed making too many frequent requests (I mean like requesting every 5 seconds or less). If there are just too many bots at once, making requests every 30 seconds or so, and eating up all the bandwidth, then something like Cloudflare becomes more useful. Hard for me to say what's really happening unless I were able to see the forum's access log.

The heavy-handed South American is going to explain to you how this shit the world is in works…. It's driving me crazy and it's ruining the tech economy…

Artificial intelligence is a set of algorithms that follow step-by-step instructions based on a huge database, which is none other than THE INTERNET! And what does that mean? It means that artificial intelligence isn't reliable because, while it can "read" databases from universities, scientists, and other reputable institutions, it can also read what some idiot writes in a photo from Kenya, Africa. Let me give you an example…

Flavio posted on his YouTube channel, in the community section, "JENS JOHANSSON LIED ABOUT HIS NATIONALITY. HE TOOK A GENETIC TEST AND HE'S SOUTH AMERICAN." When someone on the other side of the planet asks Artificial Intelligence, "WHAT NATIONALITY IS JENS JOHANSSON?", if it finds a verified source, it will answer by scanning and using the "hierarchy of webpages and forums" that yes, Jens Johansson is Swedish, but If you can't find a valid answer, your search descends to the nonsense written by idiots who spout nonsense in the YouTube community, like some guy named Flavio who said Jens Johansson is South American because he couldn't find any other answer, and he'll tell you as if it were the absolute truth. Because the engineers, the idiots who program the "human-machine interface," don't account for the possibility that Artificial Intelligence will say "I DON'T KNOW," so it tells you any old nonsense. That's called "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE HALLUCINATIONS"—it's an information ERROR.

Now, if programming is based on algorithms, and chatbots are programs derived from the same artificial intelligence that follow a learning pattern based on self-generating artificial intelligence (meaning the algorithmic code regenerates automatically without human intervention), it means that when you, as a user, grant permission to artificial intelligence companies to learn about your behavior, stipulated as configuration options on many websites, you are allowing that chatbot to learn how to log in or create accounts on the Stratovarius forum, for example, if it has an "artificial intelligence training" option, as is the case on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.

This is illegal and warrants criminal prosecution. If Artificial Intelligence learns from unauthorized human data without consent, that's where ChatBots come in, used by marketing companies to try to force you to buy a certain product until you have a stroke.

In short, if self-generating artificial intelligence is interested in how to create accounts on the Stratovarius forum because it can profit from the web, it's because it found information written by a human explaining all the vulnerabilities, registrations, and CAPTCHAs of the Stratovarius forum. It learns this information and then attacks the forum with a storm of registrations until it destroys the forum or saturates the hardware capacity. The solution is to implement login systems that are typical of human reasoning, like puzzles, because artificial intelligence is AUTOMATED PROGRAMMING CODE; IT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HUMAN REASONING. THE ONLY WAY A PUZZLE LOGIN CAN MESS WITH YOU IS IF A PROGRAMMER COMES ALONG AND TEACHES IT. There is no other way to solve the puzzle implemented on the Stratovarius forum using an algorithm. Artificial intelligence is not a god; it's a machine, and like any machine, it can't do anything without a human.

That's why I'm telling you, it's not a flock of 1,000,000 humans trying to access the Stratovarius forum; it's automated programs designed to search for forums and disrupt them with a very specific purpose, created specifically for that. That's why CAPTCHAs, puzzles, and cloudflares exist.

Keep in mind that tech companies are funding these practices with millions of dollars so that YOU BUY THEIR PRODUCT. And if you pay attention, artificial intelligence is now even in internet search engines, Windows 11, websites, service companies, and other areas. Businesses, not to mention that militaries are using it for weapons, even your country's government is implementing it, hackers are using it, communications companies, etc., etc., etc.…

And don't make me nervous or I'll start singing like Timo Tolkki again. >=(
