EarSplit PR, who handles Stratovarius' promotion, distributes their promos through a service called Haulix, which right now only allows journalists to stream the album, both the album stream, as well as any potential downloads of the files (Which aren't even currently available) are embedded with numerous inaudible watermarks, which are uniquely coded to the account that has the promo. For an album to leak, it would be very easy for the record company to very quickly identify who leaked the album, they'd be blacklisted from EarSplit, and probably every other record label, as well as possibly be dealing with legal charges against them. It's why on the whole, its very rare for a record to leak these days.NeverendingAbyss wrote:C'mon with this fucing torrents where are?Rebel wrote:You're better off waiting to hear the whole songs.KupiainenItaly96 wrote:C'mon with this fucing samples where are?
Is that what happened with Elysium?Rebel wrote:EarSplit PR, who handles Stratovarius' promotion, distributes their promos through a service called Haulix, which right now only allows journalists to stream the album, both the album stream, as well as any potential downloads of the files (Which aren't even currently available) are embedded with numerous inaudible watermarks, which are uniquely coded to the account that has the promo. I think if I remember correctly..... Elysium leaked right before New Year's Eve that year. It was about 2 weeks before its schedule date. I also remember some outlets in Europe selling the album before its scheduled release as well, so with Nemesis.... Who knows?TheLegendaryDreamer wrote:Is that what happened with Elysium?Rebel wrote:EarSplit PR, who handles Stratovarius' promotion, distributes their promos through a service called Haulix, which right now only allows journalists to stream the album, both the album stream, as well as any potential downloads of the files (Which aren't even currently available) are embedded with numerous inaudible watermarks, which are uniquely coded to the account that has the promo. I remember I saw the Elysium leak New Years Eve, less than 2 weeks before the release, yeah. Far as Nemesis goes... there's a chance it'll leak after tonight with the listening party, though I kinda doubt it, at least of any quality. It's entirely possible that it simply won't leak though.Texidor wrote:I think if I remember correctly..... Elysium leaked right before New Year's Eve that year.
