We've been waiting since the second half of 2003, so we DO have patience.

Any New news about it? The 17th was a tentative date, but I do ot elieve it will be then. Anyone heard anything concrete?

I have heard nothing about a new dvd? Whats it going to be of? videos? live? something else?

There are rumors that it'll be called "The Story Of Stratovarius", and will be released this month.. but i doubt it

I have coz I managed to discuss with Jens for a moment two days ago. He said the DVD is still in progress and has yet no idea when it´ll be ready for publishing. But he promised that the purpose is during this year.

Thanks for the information. I bet, that the guys have a lot to do, and this DVD is just one little piece out of all the works. If it's sheduled for this year, then I'm already glad to hear it, and still patient with the waiting. Even if we get it for Christmas... at least it will be a nice present for the fans. (it can come published for my birthday too, I won't say a no )

bullshit imo. the website says "Metal-is". if this is the long waiting DVD, it would be released under Nuclearblast.

I'm holding on to my 25 bucks no atter how long we have to wait. IMO, I think it will be available pretty soon.

@Cliff, Metal-is is a division of Sanctuary Records, which Strato is on now!
AFAIK, Strato is not on NuclearBlast any longer.

I went to Metal-is website,and I did not see anything written about this new DVD.

But that DVD is based on a deal with Nuclearblast, so (except if there is a agreement or something), the DVD must be released on Nuclearblast...

I wish rumors would not start like this--you can understand {b]people[/b] starting them because we are looking so forward to it, but its hard to understand why a music/metal site would post a date&all unless they know something

Nope, the new DVD has nothing to do with Nuclear Blast, as only some of the materials are used as bonuses, but the main concept was recorded in Sao Paolo, during the contract with Sanctuary Records.

So.. The DVD won't be released before October, according to TT's statement

I hope there is some document... Like "story of stratovarius" what is mentioned in some metal pages.. Really want to hear TT`s statements about early days of stratovarius.. Please Jens, Read this and make the wish come true..

That is when the minitour of North America is supposed to take place. I wonder if the release of the DVD at that time was coincidental.
But, Cool! Because more folks in USA will want the DVD once they see Strato Live, or vice versa!

I think that nothing is going on... I'm pretty sure that the dvd will come out in next year

The DVD won´t be published before October, that´s now sure as we know. Maybe it´s coming in October, around Christmas or in the beginning of next year... No more accurate infos yet.

I'm also waiting a bit impatiently , but I have a feeling that dvd release dates are often postponed (in general). Is it a good thing to know about this dvd so long beforhand?

Meanwhile, the double-CD set supposedly is coming out later this month.
