Introducing, Gov. Mike Huckabee
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Mike lost over 100 pounds and found a musical and promising political career! Cool! Which brings to mind a saying,"A person can always lose weight, but they cannot ever lose redneckitis!"

:music: Thank God I'm a Country Boy! :music:
http://www.voteforbreakfast.com
is a GREAT&VERY funny parody website of all the candidates! Hilarious!

I personally like the pic that was posted of Hillary in witch gear. They finally found one that shows the real Hillary. If she ever got elected, I would leave the country. Good thing, she don't have a shot in hell of winning.

According to polls the top 3 candidates in each party are:
DEMS:
1. Clinton
2. OBama
3. Edwards
REPUBS
1. Guilani
2. Thompson
3. Huckabee
For reasons I'll not touch, I say, "God help us!" Because, in spite of everything, the USA is still socially a VERY backward country!

I wouldn't bank on that.
The Republicans don't have anyone particularly strong at the moment.

If slow and steady wins the race, then Fred Thomson has already won ladies and gentlemen, because the only movements in Fred Thomson are his bowel movements.

I have been reading on several websites that
MICHAEL BLOOMBERG who is a Billionaire&Mayor of NYC, is seriously thinking of becoming a presidential candidate on either the Democratic, or Independent party ticket. It is said Bloomberg could spend a Billion dollars of his own money campaigning&he would not miss it!

Yeah, Clooney would probably be just as good as any of the rest! At least he has liberal leanings which the USA needs right now to alance things out.
Copy&Paste time!
Two newcomers jolt parties' status quo
The Democratic and Republican establishments and their presidential candidates, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and former Gov. Mitt Romney, were brought low in Iowa on Thursday night, shaken seriously by two national newcomers who won decisively on messages of insurgency and change.
The victors in Iowa, Senator Barack Obama for the Democrats and former Gov. Mike Huckabee for the Republicans, are as far from the status quo as possible. One is the son of a Kenyan father and a white Kansan mother who entered the United States Senate just three years ago. The other is a former Baptist minister who was best known until recently for losing over 100 pounds and taking on the issue of childhood obesity.
The two winners burst the aura of strength and confidence that Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Romney had tried to cultivate for months, and left both parties suddenly without a clear path to their nominating conventions, let alone November.
Mrs. Clinton's loss was especially glaring. Her central strategy for much of 2007 was to appear as the inevitable nominee, but Iowans shredded that notion. She tried in recent weeks to convince voters that another Clinton administration could be an agent of change, but Iowans clearly did not buy it.
Without question, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Romney have the money, the campaign apparatus and the legions of supporters to stay in the hunt for the nomination and to right their campaigns. But Mrs. Clinton's lackluster finish raises anew questions about her electability, and whether independent voters - twice as many of whom backed Mr. Obama over her - will ever come around to Mrs. Clinton.
And Mr. Romney, who outspent Mr. Huckabee 6 to 1 in television advertising in Iowa, now faces a far more crowded field of rivals in the New Hampshire primary who are eager to tear into his wounded candidacy
All the candidates now move to that primary on Tuesday, which Mrs. Clinton had tried to make a fire wall for her campaign, as it was for her husband's presidential candidacy in 1992, when he finished strongly in second place.

I just watched the debates.
I can see why people like Huckabee. I'm not a Republican, and I disagree with his philosophy, but he is very articulate&seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Huckabee is not arrogant either, considering.
And, Clinton blew them all away! She is great! But, Obama presented himself&his arguments well, also. I would not complain if he was the final nominee.
As to the Ron Paul guy that some folks idolize as Jesus, or a rock star, I just don't see it!

RP is a true blue conservative through&through.

He has about as much charisma as a brick, but people like him because of his honesty and integrity. He's one of the few politicians who isn't corrupt. I really don't like his whole 'evolution is just a theory' stance though.
As for Huckabee, I'd REALLY not like a baptist minister running the country.

@NV, did you watch the debates&see the guys in action?
RP is also against abortion&wants to repeal Roe vs. Wade. He wants to gather up al illegal Mexicans&send them packing. RP wants to make gold the monetary standard.
RP is purely a GOP plant--a fake&a sham, in a sense.
Of course, I understand why certain sorts of folks would love RP to death: RP plans on decriminalizing Pot!

Every rock star, Pagan, many young people, will be flocking to vote for RP!

No decent parent wants to see any drug legalized, but I can see Pot regulated for medicinial purposes. But, there is always some asshole ready to abuse any useful law thats passed.
No, I don't think a Minister of any kind is a good idea! We've had enough conservative crap the past 7 years!
All the Dems are planning to bring the troops back within a year&most of us want that!

Another reason for why noone is worth voting for. Withdrawing from Iraq that soon would cause a catastrophe.

I'd really be curious how the countries course (in the interiour AND the exteriour) would change if Obama became president. At the moment, his cards are not the worst.

Fact: a vast proportion of the US population would never vote for a black man, simply because he is black. He will not be president.
