DISTRICT NINE--This was one weird movie, not so much the content(which was good)but, the way it was done. This movie about aliens taking up residence in South Africa was like a newscast, more than a movie. But, as it went along I got really into it! Produced by Peter Jackson. And, yes, I get the satire&parody the movie subtlely presented. ;)

4 MUSKATEERS--Quite entertaining tale based on Dumas creation. Adventure with alittle mumbo-jumbo mixed in.

SCAREY MOVIE 4Hilarious! So stupid it was terrific! Loved it!

TERMINATOR SALVATION-Worth waiting for! Action packed and just very good. Enjoyed it. I know there supposed to be 2 more parts to this saga. Great!

STAR TREK Another winner! Seeing the crew as they were young was interesting, and the movie was not boring at all. Hope there is a sequel. :bigok:

I've seen El Orfanato. A great movie! :)
I've also seen "The Devil's Backbone". I think it's "El espinazo del Diablo" in Spanish.

El orfanato is good, storywise not that special, but very absorbing.

Los abrazos rotos is good too, the director is instantly recognisable, he's a master at making relatively complex scripts easy to follow. Only one gay and one (ex)prostitute this time. ;)

District 9 has won lots of awards, it was even nominated for movie of the year in 2009! Was the background music from Black Hawk Down? Sounded similar. ???

Dreamcatcher

The beginning was sickening and frightful, but the end was so banal and boring... I didn't like it.

5/10

El orfanato is quite well. I don´t like Almódovar films, here in Spain lot of people can´t understand his popularity abroad.

I watched it this weekend and I liked it a lot!! I didn't even know what it was about so it was an excellent surprise except for a stupid teenager I had next to me who was talking to her girlfriend all the time and eating popcorn as if he was about to starve. I hate that.

I've just come from the cinema, watched "Valentine's Day". Two hours about nothing. It was so long, so boring, I was going to sleep. Even Julia Roberts and Ashton Kutcher couldn't save the movie. It doesn't cost $4 that I paid for the ticket.

Sherlock Holmes

Boondock Saints II
Rubbish. To my recollection the first one was decent.

Hana-bi
I'm not really sure what to make of Takeshi Kitano, but not bad.

I've watched "Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens" 1922. Scary movie :) It's interesting experience of watching the silent movie. I watched it and thought about changes in ways of expression, in actors' play; such naive "special effects"... And now nobody can be surprised with 3D-movies... But this movie seemed to be scare for people in 1922 :) I liked it, what can I say :)

I´ve watched it many years ago.
I understand people who don´t like old movies, but, there´s one thing that makes different the old movies in comparison with the films of our times: the story and the actors. In the past, the script, the story and the actors had more importance than now, in general.

I've watched "The lovely bones". It's great movie. It reminded me my grandmother... She was very ill, she had cancer and it hurted her a lot. But she had never complained, she had never said: "I wish this life to be finished". Her illness hurted her a lot and she knew that she had no hope but she wanted to live. And this movie... Even after death that girl wanted to live.

I've watched "Adventureland". Light movie for teenagers. I've wathed it because of Kristen Stewart - it was the only movie with her that I could find in Net. The movie was... normal. Nothing special.

I mean that Kristen Stewart was not so famous before "Twilight" and she is young - so there are not so many movies with her at all :) Thanks for the link!
