I have no problem with long songs as long as they have a point (like Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner). The long songs on IM's last albums are long just for the sake of being long and "progressive" ...
I really couldn't listen past 4th or 5th song on the new album ...

Reel Big Fish - Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album

I don't know if I can call this the best live album I've ever heard (it's definitely damn near that) but it's definitely the funniest. It's a ska-punk band that plays very funny and very energetic songs, with lots of hillarious chatter between themselves and between them and the audience. The highlight of the album is their attempt to improve one of their own songs by playing it in 9 different styles - ska, punk, blues, country, garage rock, emo, rap, disco and death metal and finally coming to conclusion that the song sucks in any genre and shouldn't be played live ...
Highly recommended.

I got Black Sabbath's Volume 4 today and I'm now missing 7 of this great band's albums, only two of them being from the Ozzy-era (lives and compilations not counted).

It's not released yet. CDON.com says it's release-date is 30.10 and I'll definetly order it right away that day (with Manowar's new EP). The Course Of Nature rocks ass. 8)

Edge of Sanity - Crismon

Can't stop listening to it. The album contains only one 40 minute track. If you like Opeth this is a must for you. The music is like a mix of black/death metal with strong progressive elements, clean vocals and acoustic guitars and stuff... check it out.

Rhapsody Of Fire - Triumph Or Agony

I like the album, even though it cost me a few days to get used to the sound, since it differs a lot from that of their previous albums.

^In my opinion easily their worst album. I only like few songs and even they are nothing compared to songs on Power Of The Dragonflame and Dawn Of Victory. :?

The album is too different compared to POTD and DOV to be compared in that way.

TOA focuses more on the symphonic part than the metal part, which is why it took me a while to like it. SOELII started this trend - though that album was still more metal, the symphonic part of their sound became more important from that point on than on any other album before it).

I still think POTD is their best till date, but TOA is swiftly becoming one of my favorite albums so far, though I think it's more the story than the music itself that's to blame for it, as I find the Dark Secret Saga a lot more interesting than the Emerald Sword Saga.

Sepcys - Evolution of Fake

you should seriously listen to this! One of the most powerful bands I've ever heard! Heavy aggressive guitars and drumming, and maybe the best shouter of all newcoming bands! Guess they catched a good portion of hardcore, but there also some metal and new metal influences. Just the mixture I need know! :D
