I'm going to be a Granny soon&next month I will know for sure what my son's baby will be. Then, it will be the usual showers&stuff, gifts, etc.
You have a wonderful journey to look forward to, Morgana, with laughter&tears, fun&serious stuff, and it will be both a challange&a delight.

Carcass, you remind me somewhat of my son, except now he has a crew-cut instead of a ponytail. But, he loves to wear khaki's&T-shirt, like you wear in the pic--it's like his "uniform", or something.

BTW, that mural is interesting, makes me think of that movie, "The Birds"!

"Brave" I don't think is the word I first would use! When he first told me about the coming baby I did not know whether to Hug him, or slap the holy Hell out of him. I mean, I am a realist,these are hard times to raise a child. But, in about 30 seconds I was happy at the prospect of being Grandma&I realized my son needed support more than criticism. After all, at this time one must think of the child involved. And my son is thrilled over this baby. I have saw a side of him that makes me proud that he is my son. I think he's going to be a good Dad, maybe not perfect, but he does love this baby already, and thats a start!
