Seems to be a slightly Kupiainen biased track list... I hope this album will be a Strato classic. 18 minutes is the longest track thats ever been made (By Stratovarius)! I'm hoping that song doesn't turn out to be too much like the 12 minute song off Elements Part 1, and that it breaks new ground in the Strato sound I think either way I will grow to love the album though!

To assume that Matias is trying to step into Tolkki's shoes just because he's contributing more songs to this album than the other guys is an absurd accusation. Matias is an extraordinarily talented musician and just based on how he acts and my experience when I met him, he's an extremely laid back guy. Let him do whatever he wants.

It's a great time for a power metal fan; two other 'great old ones' Helloween and Blind Guardian just released truly top notch albums and based on Darkest Hours, Stratovarius will continue on the same level. Really an outstanding song.

The singles sound amazing, i can't wait for the EP

It's a great time for a power metal fan; two other 'great old ones' Helloween and Blind Guardian just released truly top notch albums and based on Darkest Hours, Stratovarius will continue on the same level. Really an outstanding song.

That sounds disgustingly good. Especially happy at how well Matias has been able to integrate Jens' keyboards into his song.

Yea, Jens's keyboards on that song really stood out to me, I love the sound. Really sounds like they're doing some progressive/experimental/just plain new things on this album, that's exciting.
