Offensive. Even a grain of rice would be more filling.

I blame the loudness wars for your dissatisfaction with my penis.
But I promise it will grow on you.

I can recommend a very good ophthalmologist for your eye problems! Friend of mine, no questions asked.

3 times in less than 10 minutes. I think you're unnecessarily overstating a very little thing.

What I lack in girth I compensate for with exhibitionist tendencies.

What kind of results does that yield? Furnish as profit or interest. Most who are not thick would rather relinquish.

Metal doesn't tend to be music created for the sole purpose of mass-consumption and to raise huge amounts of money via radio and tv airplay. Once you take out the requirement for mainstream mass appeal, it leaves the artists more opportunity to explore what they want to do.
this paragrahp is just way too naive.
all "metal" records are "art" for the sole fact of being "metal"?? are you in manowar or some shit??
this is the music industry , only the clothes and the name changes, of course there is mass consumption and money involved *, the hip hop, pop, country industry is all the same; I cannot believe you really think dudes at metal labels pick bands because they are very artistic,or they have the most intense lyrics ever, because they dont!; I also dont remember a metal band with a chubby/girl vocalist??!? do i? (yes im using the "adele" card)
other than that, pop music is as valid art because everybody can like a pop tune in one moment or another, im pretty sure you dig some of that shit, and me too, and perhaps everybody in this forum.
not to mention they outnumber any demographic/music style preference studies.
I cannot justify that every metal is art because is metal........come on bro.
*of course not, paul mc cartney, gene simmons, sebastian bach, axl rose, slash, dave grohl, all those guys lives in flats in some downtown street somewhere.
We could "probably" consider "the records mentioned" as art, I said

and metal "tends" to be more artistically based than mainstream. No absolutes!
And can pop music be considered art? Well that's essentially the whole debate about whether the chair is art... is something art if it serves a practical purpose? I don't think it matters, but there are people who do. I guess if people think it is, then it is art.

I was lucky enough to see Jon Oliva's Pain last night, and it was an incredible experience. Played the whole of Hall of the Mountain King from start to finish, as well as a few other choice cuts from Savatage's back catalogue. Ghost In The Ruins was mindblowing. Also got to meet Jon himself and while he was pretty drunk (went through half a bottle of vodka during the show) he was a really cool, funny and approachable guy with a lot of respect for the fans.
Which reminded me of another record for this here thread, namely Fight For The Rock. Savatage are one of my favourite ever bands, ever... I've got everything they've ever recorded EXCEPT... FFTR. I don't think I've even ever heard any of the songs on there. When you have Jon Oliva and Johnny Lee Middleton saying openly in the press that they intensely disliked the record and even considered calling it quits after it was released, it's not going to give you much confidence.
Any other Sava-fans here and anyone who's got FFTR? Should I bite the bullet and get the CD or is it one of those things that's best left unheard?

If I were to list my least favourite Savatage songs, the top 5 would probably consist solely of FFTR songs, but still, I liked Hyde, Lady In Disguise and the title track and I really liked The Edge Of Midnight. You can find those in YouTube if you want to give them a listen.ยด
It wasn't nearly as bad as I was feared, the band themselves indeed say they dislike it so I had very low expectations to begin with. I'd say the problem isn't that the songs are bad, but more about how many of the songs sound so blatantly commercial and poppish that it feels awkward listening to them, since the style doesn't really fit Savatage.

anyways,... back to topic
today I bought Snakes and Arrows by Rush, I had the same experience everytime I buy something from them and I have to listen the same record like two or three times to really enjoy it, then im stuck with the melodies for weeks.
this hasnt happened with "Caress of Steel" , im sorry if there is a Hardcore, Purist fan of Rush over here, but I cant like that album, doesnt matter how much I try.
on the other hand, I just "completed" my "basic" Queen collection with the addition of "the works", now, I have to complete the "expanded" collection (that means, freddies solo albums, and soundtracks) Im gonna have to buy the FLASH GORDON soundtrack, which,.......this in pointless, that thing sucks..
